Other manufacturers use a large “clips” or “washers” with their screws. Is that sort of hardware required for these panels?

Accepted Answer

The GoBoard Kits are packed with the screws required for installation. With 8” spacing at 16” o.c., washers are not needed for this installation method.

I think you misread my question. When they go board is used as flooring underlayment, should it be said with screws plus use thin set underneath?

When GoBoard is used as an underlayment it should be embedded in thin-set, then screwed or nailed to the subfloor.

Can i buy the goboard backers only?

Apologies, we only offer it in the 6 or 8 sheet installation kits which come with the poly-seal and screws as an accessory for use with our Tile-Basins. Depending on local availability GoBoard can also be found in places such as Home Depot or Lowes and sold as individual sheets.
