Nice and efficient! Cleans easily.
If you’re comfortable using an epilator this is a gem. I’ve owned several over the years and this one has worked the best. It removes the hair quickly and without the pain others have caused. It requires fewer passes over the same area to do the removal. Charging time is relatively quick. I will caution use in delicate skin areas as it will cause some irritation. I may need to look at using some of the other attachments that it comes with. There are several. It cleans up easily. Would recommend this product.

Works great so far…
Firstly, I’m partial to this brand. This is my third silk-epil in about 40 years (my first one was when there wasn’t many of these gadgets on market), so for me it’s a long-tracking brand.Only had it for a couple months, but used it a few times already. It replaced my much older corded dual power Braun epilator I had for at least 15 years! that died suddenly making awful rattling noises.I was wary of cordless cause recharging batteries eventually wear out.But there aren’t many corded valuable options out there: this was a good choice all considered. Here’s the pros (mostly pros so far tbh):-Fairly easy to hold and maneuver.-It works well on dry skin, I have not tried wet. I use it after showering so my skin is clean. Will epilate short and longer hair like my previous one, using two speeds.-Has a light, which for me it’s a huge plus, cause it means I can sit down more comfortably, and not need to have a flashlight shine to see any lighter color or thinner hair (also my sight isn’t getting any better after 50, so…), or going by “touch and feel” to make sure I am thorough.-Will do well on underarms too, no issues there, no pinching, smooth skin. So far no ingrown hair either.-Mine comes with couple of adapters. I wish I had gotten one with a smaller one, so I could do small areas like upper lip or brows as needed instead of waxing, but that’s okay (that’s what waxing of tweezers are for).-Has a shaving head I’ve not used yet, though I don’t think I’m going to either.-Cleans easy with its brush. I guess you can also wash it as it’s wet/dry use, not dove that yet.-Battery actually lasted quite a bit with first charge, and will beep lightly when you use it on low charge so you’ll know. Will also have yellow light to warn of charge needed.-Does not overheat with prolonged use, so you can do legs and underarms at the same time without requiring an in between “rest”. Maybe worked a good 30-40 minutes.I think the total work time (over several days) with full charge was at least 3-4 hours before needing to recharge it, so that’s s real plus!-Hair will take a lot longer to regrow when epilating, than shaving, and your skin will not be bumpy or stubby the next day. No change in skin color like when you wax either.Cons:-Just like any other epilator, it isn’t pleasant to epilate, but it’s definitely better than waxing and less messy, especially if you do it at home.-I don’t like the dial turn on, I’d have rather had a push up/down switch. Not sure why it’s a dial? It’s not super practical, but it does function fairly easy.-Not sure the curved head is an improvement, I don’t see much of a difference from the straight head of my old one, but it is easy enough to hold.-The bag it comes with is like a think plastic “satchel”. I kept my older one which is a rigid bag with zipper and mesh, so it’s more functional to take with if you travel, as well as have it set in a drawer and just pull out the shaver without having to pick up the whole thing to open.Overall though, not many cons to this; it’s pretty nice.My only regret is not buying the one that also had the smaller adapter, so I could do small areas like lip etc. the adapter with the rolls actually helps with sensitive areas, but it still has a wider path.I still prefer waxing for bikini area, but that’s because it’s “faster” (one and done) imho.My two cents…I’ve always preferred epilating to shaving, as all you pull is the hair not the skin, and no scraping like with a razor. Also no buying supplies all the time.I would recommend it, after only a month it two of using, but also based on faithful years with this brand.

Not completely smooth for legs, but good for other areas
So, I’m happy and disappointed in this product.I’ll start with disappointment, because the happy comes with a significant cost.TL;DR: unhappy with leg hair removal, but happy with other locations, however extremely painful only the 1st time using it.I got this primarily to search for a longer term hair removal for my legs. I love the feeling after a fresh shave, but I get stubble back after only a few hours. If I shave my legs in the morning, I get stubble back by dinner time. I’m going on a big 3 week trip in a few months and I just don’t want to have to deal with shaving or stubble every day. So I turned to other alternatives for leg hair removal.I tried waxing, and honestly I think that would have been fine except I think I had a bad waxer who used a cheap wax. She didn’t get everything and left wax residue and it just wasn’t a great experience. After more research, I think if I had gone to a better waxer, I probably would’ve stuck with waxing. Except it is costly. My friend told me about epilating so I decided to try that. For my legs, it’s… okay. It’s not that painful in my experience but I have softer leg hair I guess and a higher pain tolerance. Also I already had much of the hair removed from waxing previously so that probably helped some. But the biggest problem is… it left a LOT of stubble. I couldn’t tell if it was just missing some hairs or if it was breaking the longer pieces off.I consulted some online forums and someone recommended that I pick 1 day of the week and stay consistent with that weekly epilating. They said this will help remove more hairs as the hairs get on the same growth cycle. This actually has helped significantly with picking up more hair. After several weeks of consistency, there is significantly less stubble left over. However, I still have 2 issues: the first being still no completely smooth legs, and the second being the length of time for hairlessness does not seem long at all. Each week of epilating, I have significant hair regrowth. My goal is super smooth, soft, silky skin for an extended period of time. Preferably my entire 3 week trip. I was hoping starting epilating early would have honestly after several months, but so far it is not looking good. I’m tempted trying to wax again, or possibly waxing right before my trip and bringing my epilator just in case I have hair regrowth, and if none of that works, then just dealing with shaving during my trip.Ok. Now for the happy. After my legs experiment offered initial disappointment, I question if this epilator thing actually even worked for removing hairs at all. So I tested it on a different part of my body: my underarms.I CAN CONFIRM THE EPILATOR WORKS AT REMOVING HAIRS AND I CAN ALSO CONFIRM THIS WAS ONE OF THE MOST PAINFUL THINGS IVE EVER EXPERIENCED.I wanted to quit 1/2 way done just one underarm. But like, you can’t quit then, you have to push through. Ultimately I am glad I did but boy was it tears-in-your-eyes painful. Every single follicle was red and full of blood. It wasn’t like dripping blood but definitely had some red on a tissue when I patted it. This only happened the first time, however. After I pushed through the pain, my underarms were completely hairless. I treated the tender area for the next few days. The hairs didn’t grow back for a while. It was SO nice not worrying about underarm stubble or discoloration from shaving or darker hair regrowth.Epilating my underarms after the first time is SIGNIFICANTLY easier and less painful. It’s still somewhat painful, like you can definitely feel it pinching, but it’s so much easier and better and faster. The hair grows back softer and lighter so even with hair regrowth it’s not so bad. I still epilate only once a week and I really don’t worry about the hair regrowth in between. So I’m very happy with the results for my underarms. I’m not sure I could say I recommend it for underarms though because that initial session… it’s BAD. It’s so bad. I do not want to be dismissive about the pain. But I do think if you can push through it, it could be worth it. It is to me.
