I love the settings on this thing
I love the settings on this thing. I love the pre set up "settings" like the thunder storm. I love that you have the option for a cloudy day as well as a bright day. I love that it fits perfectly on top of my 48 inch tank. It is a 55 gal fish tank so I bought the 48 inch one so I could cover from end to end and not have any empty space.Pros: Love the light it puts out. The "blue" light just by itself makes my glofish look amazing. The ones that you can see that is. It doesn't make the pink and blue ones bright just the orange and yellow ones. I can see everywhere in the tank so the penetration of the light is good compared to the size of the bar. I also like that. I like that it is a slim bar that if you wanted to add another light for let's say just aquatic plants - to incorporate the red spectrum - you would still have plenty of space.Cons: I'm not 100% sure that it would provide enough light at the bottom of a large tank for "full light" aquatic plants. I'm curious to know if others feel the same way that it wouldn't give enough light in the larger tanks to keep all kinds of plants happy. It starts to get a little dim near the bottom of my 55 gal fish tank. I wouldn't know if it would be enough output of light to still get the full light near the bottom of lets say a 75 gal or an 100 gal tank. I purchased the largest bar that the site had as well and it can extend so if it were to be extended on a larger tank it may not have enough light to sufficiently light a tank. While I like the remote that it has on it, Being at the bottom of the power cord is a wee inconvenient when you have to pull up the cords to get to it. Maybe add it near the top instead so you don't have to pull up half of the wire to find it.All in all I think it is a decent enough light for the price. It provides you that light you need until you can either find something better or save up for the more expensive light. I think it should last in theory.

Worth every penny!
I bought the 36" light for a 46 gallon bow-front tank. My light arrived without damage. I was pleased to find out that the blue and white LEDs have separate power wires (Line 1 is for the blue, Line 2 is for the white). The "remote" acts as a power splitter and allows the included 12v power supply to power the whole light. My favorite thing about this setup is you can use Current's single ramp timer to control the white LEDs by installing the timer after the remote on "line 2". This configuration allows me to run the blue LEDs 24/7 and ramp the whites up and down for my daylight hours. If, in the future, I want to ramp the blue LEDs (instead of letting them burn for 24/7). All I must do is buy a second single ramp timer and install it after the remote on "Line 1". Obviously, with two ramp timers I'd be able to set different times for the white and blue LEDs independently. 2 single ramp timers are currently cheaper than buying Current's dual ramp timer. Or as an alternative, I could use a separate timer to control the power supply in addition to the ramp timer on "Line 2". Set correctly, I could turn the whole thing off for a few hours at night, and turn it back on before the ramp timer was set to ramp up my white LEDs. Settings would be maintained across the system. As others have said, this light is great. It has numerous modes that can be set via the remote. It throws plenty of light, and if you believe it is too bright you can dim it via the remote. Mode settings are retained until you decide to change them, and if you want to leave the blue LEDs on at night the spectrum will fluoresce items that glow under a black-light. Furthermore, as stated above, you can use ramp timers to customize your setup further. My lighting setup cost me less than $80 and, IMO, was worth every penny! My configuration works for me, YMMV.

Best investment for my fish, next to the canister filter. A must have. Please your fish with a cloudy day/storm projection :))
This light is insane! :) Im so happy with it, More than my fish, who are delighted when the storm starts, the dance they all throw on. Made me think it stresses them out but its just the way, eating happy. Thats not stress, its a delight. What a difference compared to regular tubes, the blue light does provide the spectrum near to the actinic tubes which does make my fish look just as vibrant in colors every time the night setting comes to effect. Daylight is quite too strong, but I never leave it there, instead, pick cloudy day and that seriously takes over, its just something the regular tubes never provide. Its insane, not to mention the price for what this can do. Do yourself, rather, do your fish a favor and order this amazing piece of Technology. Well worth that little money they're asking for it, unlike the local stores, yuck! They don't even have this kind, just regular led with no programs, for twice, three times the price, yet brands like made in china random failing lights of theirs. Had it for probably 6 months now? All the LEDs are still alive both blue and white. Never turning the unit off mind you. Im not sure what the power draw of the tube Ive had was, but I'm sure this is even more efficient, and modern! Very satisfying product. Especially the cloudy day and storm effect! Best to see on your own eyes, the videos can give you an idea, but its best to own it. Trust me. 100 out of 100!UPDATE: It'll be a year and the light still works like new.Ordered another one and bought locally a competition FLU*** german brand timer for half the price of the CURRENTS and it works.I did see the flickering when the fade out kicks in while the light has cloud simulation on, which is a big shame although even current describes this issue with their own timer so I did expect it with my smart purchase of a timer from a different brand yet hoped that maybe it wont be a problem by me trying 3 different combinations of plugging the connectors into the timer. Either way, fish are enormously happy with this light, even the ones in the second tank that I temporarily used a regular desk lamp with standard 40W light-bulb are now swimming calm and enjoying especially the night light setting.

This light was even better than expected
The media could not be loaded. This light was even better than expected! The description doesn't mention that it has different light settings. There are 4 pre-set modes, as you can see in my video. You can customize by increasing the white or blue colours. You can also just turn on white or blue and decide the light/darkness level. Great little light. It doesn't seem bright enough to sustain plants, but that's a non issue for me as I don't have plants. Would recommend!
