Impressed with this product
I was quite impressed with this product, it is a Sanou lathe chuck and is of surprisingly good quality for the price.I have not actually used the product yet so I cannot speak to runout accuracy or anything. Like most lathe chucks it requires a back plate to mount the lathe chuck. It comes with the extra jaws shown and comes with the tightening wrench. It works smoothly, tightens well, the jaws are easily removed and changed out. This is a vastly better quality lathe chuck than what my nearly 50 year old metal lathe originally had. My original Delta/Craftsmen lathe chuck weighs 1/3 what this one does, is made of light pot metal and is not self centering like this newly purchased lathe chuck is. I am very impressed by the quality and the price of this unit.

This 4 jaw chuck was the answer.
I have the vevor equivent 8x16 Mini Lathe, the 3 jaw chuck that came with it was loose fiting and caused vibration, I bought a new 3 jaw chuck and it caused vibration. This Sanou 4 jaw chuck fit tight and completely removed the vibration at rpm above 650. It made machining much more enjoyable and the surface finish on my parts so much better. So if you are having the same problem, this may be the answer you are looking for.

Well made, good value
Ordered 2 identical ones. On the sticker says Rattmmotor but actual product brand is Sanou. The product is well made, has nice finished surface, the jaws fit snug. The problem is that the mounting screws are hex bolts, impossible to insert into the mounting holes on the lathe spindle (no space) Had to use M6 screw body with separate nut to mount the chuck. The chuck body fits well on the spindle, the jaws have about 0.1-0.15 mm runout, (not perfect but acceptable). One of the chucks runs smoothly, the other one got stuck every 360 degree rotation of the jaw centering plate. After taking it apart and adjusting (trimming) the plate with abrasive rubber wheel it works fine. OVERALL GOOD VALUE FOR THE MONEY.

Nice little chuck
I am extremely surprised at the accuracy of this chuck. Using a supposed .0005 thou lever DI it read negligible runout on the chuck body and 1.5 thou on a chucked test rod. I mounted it on a Skar backplate that had been turned on the same lathe.
