I had to do solder the wires underneath the sheath. Maybe I got a bad pair, who knows? The product looks great, wish they'd been better conduction.

probably like 80dB lower on the right side

I bought this to hook up a USB dac to a reciever, the cable I guess is not designed for that and the balance of the signal was WAY off, probably like 80dB lower on the right side. However, the connectors are excellent and I used them to make my own great cable.

Average cable, not high end quality

Cable developed noise problems soon after install. Had to replace with higher end cable. Should be ok for low-end installations, but beware.
