Are the batteries replaceable? 18650's are common now.

FYI, I also tried to disassemble mine to see if I could replace or upgrade the included batteries but even after removing 5 screws, it still seems like it won't come apart without removing the ring around the front lens, which seems like it's glued in place. Mine works great but it's so light and I'm sure there's a lot of room in there so I thought I could add more batteries (like 2S2P or upgrade to 21700's) but without being able to open it up, there's really no hope for that.

Does it need regular batteries?

The battery works fine, but it's physically VERY SMALL and VERY LIGHT compared with the flashlight itself. What if the manufacturer were to add about 3 more of the same type in parallel with what's there? You'd get a flashlight that lasts 4 times as long! Of course, that would cost more; but LE could offer additional batteries as an option (just like additional RAM in a computer you'd buy).

How long does it take to charge the battery when it is close to fully discharged?

I love this flashlight and bought one for my car and 2 for my kids cards. The charging cable is not heavy duty, so I bought extra heavy cables with 10ft length so they charge faster in an emergency and reach outside the car while charging. It's worth the safety since we never know how long the batteries will work. I check the flashlight in my car for battery life every few months and it seems to always ready. Great product.
