Milwaukee 2830-20 Circular Saw Rear Handle 7-1/4"

I have been drooling over this saw for awhile... probably since it came out but couldn't get myself to spend the money because I didn't have the use for it...well just bought a new house, and it's a fixer upper and I finally have a use for it. Granted I just got it...but out of the box I'm already impressed. Only have a 5ah battery (have a 12ah ordered) and with that it was cutting both 2x4s and 3/4" plywood like a knife through hot butter. Between the weight, ergonomic design and the position of the blade making a straight cut is extremely easy with one or two hands. The ambidextrous safety trigger is a nice touch, though takes some getting used to. And I love the blade light, very nice feature. Granted I can't speak about it's longevity, since I just got it, but I've never had a problem with Milwaukee. All my Milwaukee tools are powerful and extremely reliable and I'm sure this will be no different. And the shipping...I gave up prime because I got tired of paying for something that was supposed to garentee 2 day shipping only to wait 3-4 days at best to get it, so naturally I just used the generic shipping object....got it two days later even though it was projected to arrive at a min. 5 days out. Very impressed. The only thing I found odd but I'm not complaining, is it was shipped in a home Depot box from home Depot and not the Amazon retailer I ordered from. This doesn't bother me because I know a lot of retailers are simply brokers selling other companies overstock and what not, and I got it way cheaper than from home depot's shelf and still sealed in the original packaging, I just want to let others know so they arnt shocked.

It works great I'm a retired carpenter I wish I had this when I was working just make sure you get the 12 high output batteries

I’ve been using this saw for over a year now and I love it. It works best with a larger battery or else it’s going to get bound up here and there depending on the type of materials you’re cutting, as do all battery powered saws. I’ve cut wood, concrete and other materials on all sorts of job sites. It’s held up with no issues so far

Best battery powered saw I’ve ever owned/used I had the size smaller and it ended up bogging down a lot causing the blade to get pinched this one doesn’t even flinch cuts everything like butter . It is a little heavier and bulky also the battery area is big enough for the 12.0 batteries. But for cutting 6in 1/2 thick aluminum tubing all day for weeks it haven’t let me down yet it’s a beast!!

Great saw! I use these for my work crew and keep coming back for more. They’re reliable, powerful, and get the job done every time. The rear handle design makes it easy to control, and for the quality you get, the price can’t be beat. Definitely recommend for both pros and DIYers.

Have much experience with worm drive saw corded electric. I installed 6 AH battery, cuts wood very well. Saw is lighter than my corded Rigid worm drive. Feels like a quality saw No cords to fuss with, or to get in the way. I cut 2x4 several times, cuts like it was hot butter. Very smooth running and stops Immediately on release of trigger. Nice job Milwaukee! Spent over 45 years as a carpenter, wish I had it 45 years ago. Any tool that you would borrow is worth owning! I have no trouble with using large powerful saws. I would recommend this saw. I have many 18v rigid tools 15 or more. I am slowly switching over to Milwaukee. Great tool.
