Anyone want to start a Flea Support Group?
I have NEVER written a review before. This past month and a half of dealing with a severe flea infestation has been one of the most challenging times I've ever experienced. I have spent so much money and tossed out so many things. I feel like we all need a support group. Did Vets Best totally fix my issue, no, but did it help immensely, speed the process up, and help with my state of mind? Sure did!Side note: HOW is there no easy way in the year 2023 to get rid of fleas?!?I don't want to get my hopes up too much that I am completely rid of Fleas, but I think I am for sure on somewhat of the other side of it. What I found most helpful during this process was reading everyone else's experiences, so I'll share mine in the hopes it helps at least one other person. My indoor (never outdoor, untreated) cat had been leaving this blackish dirt everywhere. I really had no idea what it was, I usually have my windows and screen door open and there was a lot of construction around my apartment, silly me just figured it was that...Well, I was scrolling through TikTok one night, and this woman is talking about how she noticed 'flea dirt' on her foster kitten, at that moment, everything just clicked into place for me. I checked my poor cat out, and sure enough I saw the little buggers. The next morning I woke up and my life has not been the same.Called the vet and they couldn't get him in for a few days (because of course), so I attempted a flea bath, but nothing is going to work until you treat the animal and start seriously treating your house. I have been vacuuming every single day, twice a day. I start with my big vacuum going around each and every wall of the house with the hose, and then I do a big vacuum. I then send the Roomba around. I did ultimately decide to toss my rugs, which some say was an overreaction, but anyone who is deep in the middle of this I think can understand. I vacuum the couch every other day. I did lay a sheet down over it, so the cat would have less contact. It took me about a week to start using the spray. At first, I bought WONDERSIDE, which I really liked the smell of the Cedarwood, however, that spray is VERY expensive and when I sprayed the floor, it left a film over it. I did spray Wondercide on my cat, but I don't really know how much that helped. As I was bleeding money, I was looking for a cheaper alternative, and I started using VETS BEST. I actually like spraying this on my couch and floors better. I've even used it in my car as a percussion. I have not sprayed VETS BEST directly on my cat. The smell is Spearmint, it's truly not super overpowering, lingers for a bit, and then dies down pretty quickly. And honestly, I would rather smell spearmint for 5 mins then have fleas running wild.Again, I cannot directly know for sure if this has done anything more than give me a little peace of mind, but let's put it this way, I just placed my 4th order. So, what would I say to someone just starting this terrible journey?1. Treat your animal. My indoor cat will never be off flea meds for the rest of his life. I never want to go through this again.2. Start vacuuming daily, and if you have a roomba, send that around too. Empty the vacuum OUTSIDE every time. It's also a good way to check your progress.3. Brush your pet daily. I had a bowl of hot water with Dawn Dish Soap so they would die a hot soapy death.4. Wash bedding every other day at least. (This has been the hardest, as I live in an apartment and have to pay for laundry, but you HAVE to do it)5. Spray VETS BEST around the house every few days and then don't vacuum to let it sit.6. If you can get rid of your rugs, I would...truly whatever gives your peace of mind, that's important.7. CapStar! You can get it from your vet or way cheaper on Chewy. I wish I had known about this pill sooner.8. I spoke with exterminators, and they said that they can come 'treat' the house, but given the life cycle of fleas, they'll have to come back again. Really the only thing you can do is vacuum.I like to think that over a month in a half in, I am almost on the other side and now am just maintaining to keep the next cycle at bay. But I cannot recommend this product enough.Good. Luck.

Works well.
Works well. The peppermint scent is a little strong for a while but not very unpleasant and dissipated quickly. Meanwhile it did the job and the fleas were wiped out almost immediately. The only odd thing was that this is more like a refill bottle and we had to pick up a spray bottle. We used a small plant mister kind of bottle we found at a drug store and it actually did great. We'll be using this product more from now on because price and performance is good.

Its not perfect but its better than other forms of flea and tick spays
It doesn't seem to kill the fleas; they just don't like it and jump off the dogs. I have to keep repeating the process, but don't repeat for at least 48 hours like the instruction have warned. Eugenol can be unhealthy if administered to often and in excess. (Eugenol is made from Cloves, my favorite aroma) The dogs which I have five, don't seem to mind being sprayed with the product. I have one dog who is prone to seizures, so I won't spray her, but the other dogs have tolerated the spray very well. I don' mind spraying them two or three times per week if it at least helps with their suffering and its not toxic to them. I just couldn't give them a 5, but I will still use the product.

OMG IT WORKS!!! Pls read my entire review
WE HAVE NO FLEAS! How can this be?!? I can't believe it! I read the reviews and I can't understand why some are saying Vet's Best home spray doesn't work. This is great stuff, worth every cent and more. I Frontlined all our pets, which was great, fleas gone on pets, but they were still in the house, in furniture, in carpeting, etc. We were getting itchy ankle bites while we slept. I sprayed everything. Had to get rid of a few rugs because I know fleas are experts at surviving in carpet. I have fought fleas before, years ago, before Frontline existed. I did not win the war. We spent years wasting a lot of money on bombs for every room, shampoos, useless flea collars, everything...for nothing. Then we moved. I know firsthand fleas are tough to get rid of and the key is not to get them. We've always had indoor cats and 1 dog. Since the introduction of Frontline, I always made sure to use that for the dog all spring and summer. But I got so busy this year. I didn't get to it. In the back of my mind I didn't think it was such a big deal. After all we've been flealess all these years. Would it make such a difference if I got to it late, in June instead of April? I was so stupid. Of course the dog got fleas and now 5 cats also had fleas. Thank God Vets Best saved us! This product works! Just make sure you leave no area undone. I dont know if it helped that I sprayed heavily before I read the instructions to just mist. The beds and couches had to dry for an hour or two, I sprayed so much. I sprayed in all the furniture crevices, between mattresses and boxsping, every inch of pet beds, any rug I wasn't getting rid of got saturated twice. Fleas will find safe places to hide. Eliminate the safe places! We noticed the difference almost immediately. The scent was mostly pleasant but very very strong, all windows were opened once we realized how strong the scent. We put the dog outside and the cats in the bathroom for an hour in case the strong smell would effect them adversely. I had several blankets we keep tossed on couches. I washed those blankets in hot water and then kept them folded in a laundry basket in the basement since it's summer and we don't need them on the couches. No pets go in basement by the way. I assumed the hot water killed anything but weeks later I stood near this laundry basket to get something on a shelf and I felt something on my feet. Tiny black dots! Freaking fleas! Either fleas survived the washer or eggs did. I sprayed my feet and the blankets immediately, no issues since. THIS STUFF IS A GODSEND!!! I keep several bottles around the house just in case we see or suspect anything; 1 in the basement, 2 on the main level and 2 upstairs. We also bought a flea product at Home Depot to spread around the yard. It's been a month since, might do that again just in case. Make no mistake, fleas are in this fight to win. Do not underestimate them. Get them everywhere they might be. Save yourself years of fighting them by doing a thorough job of killing them everywhere...on the pet, on the furniture, in the yard. Frontline (or similar product) alone won't do it. This spray alone won't do it. Just a few surviving can repopulate almost overnight! Vet's Best home spray should be part of your arsenal of weaponry in a multi pronged attack. You CAN win this war!9/23/20 UPDATE: WE STILL HAVE FLEAS!! Because Frontline doesn't work! We have used Frontline several times now and it's not like it used to be. It kills some but not all. We called Frontline and they said we can use it again so I've been re-dosing 1 dog and 5 cats about every 2 weeks, lots of money spent. It's not killing the fleas and they don't open a claim unless you've used it for 3 months. That's 3 months of fleas multiplying!! The Vet's Best home spray though is doing a great job. We spray the dog bed, the front door rug, our beds (when we don't, we get ankle bites) and all fabric furniture (couches, chairs). After this I'm trying Seresto collars. It will cost $300 for 6 pets but I'd give anything to get rid of the fleas once and for all. We also dump salt on all fabric furniture and the one rug. We definitely have them on the run but they are still on our pets. If only the frikin Frontline worked!!!

Seems to help for tick prevention, but defective bottle design ruins it.
I bought this because my dog's picking up about a dozen or so ticks any time we go out on trails. It seemed to work well for tick deterrent the one time I've tried it, but the completely defective bottle design kills it. I twisted on the spray nozzle to the top of the bottle and took it with to the trails so I could spray my dog down right before we went out. It leaked in my car and all over my hands, leaving behind an overpowering peppermint smell. It's not just a small leak, either - it's like a faucet if you tip it to the side.
