It took me about 5-8 minutes to set up and position my device properly. It took another few minutes to learn how to use the cam-scanner app. Once the initial set up was complete I found that this product was easy to use and does what it claims. I could easily photograph documents and turn them into readable PDF's. It is a great product! I would highly recommend it!

Flimsy and unstable

Bought the ScanJig Pro to improve my phone's document scanning. After spending a few minutes setting the unit up, I placed a sheet into position, put my phone into place and launched CamScanner. When properly adjusted there is plenty of leeway for making the scan. I have scanned 8x10 and smaller originals with success. Two issues: 1) I had to add a contrasting color to be sure to pick out the corners of the scan. 2) A costly solution, but one that works. Can't speak to the longevity of this as I've only had it for 2 weeks.

This little device is a real game changer. It holds the object and photo device (iPhone or iPad) at exactly the right angle to scan photos or documents. Wouldn’t be without it.

the ScanJig is about the size of a portable scanner and is well designed. this is an ideal option if you want to quickly scan documents without turning on your computer or dedicating a USB port to a scanner. I advise iPhone users to use the first or second set of holes for the shelf as instructed. The instructions are very thorough, and this device is a great accessory to any tablet or phone It works with KNFB reader. I recommend purchasing this device as a backup scanning solution or when traveling.

First one arrived without the carrier support for the phone or tablet. When the replacement arrived, I found that the design requires that the tablets I tried with it, a mini iPad and a Nexus 7 had to lean too much to remain on the carrier and the lean created a distortion in the image. Unable to be fully square page.

It's OK but limited. If you don't have a scanner, it's a fine way to capture a whole 8.5x11 page, but capturing smaller items, like CD printed inserts is not very good. One can't place the camera close enough to fill the iPhone camera frame because there are not appropriate side slots for placing the camera holder close enough. Odd and sad in a product that is this expensive.

The device was very easy to set up, and works exactly as described. I can now use any of my iPad devices to take pictures of documents, for simple safe-keeping.

I read the dimensions of it in the description, but I assumed it would be smaller when folded up. No, when folded it's a bit larger than a piece of paper and about an inch and a half thick. So while it is portable, it's not something you'd carry around just in case you need to scan a document. Also it's not very quick to set up as there are a few different pieces that need to be fitted into correct slots each time. That said, it worked well with my iPhone when I got it set up. I think if it's left set up on a desk it might be handy for scanning mail, or if you're like me and sometimes go to libraries where you need to scan a lot of pages it could be worth carrying around sometimes. But if you're looking for something you could pull out and use quickly I wouldn't recommend this one.

this product is brill, I am a blind person and i use KNFB reader, it takes the hit and mis out of positioning the camera over the document. I used it for the first time and it gave me a perfect result
