I have a problem with a rat. I'm getting someone in but for future visitors I thought it may deter them. Any thoughts?

I have a Good Nature Squirrel trap, which has worked well to get rid of squirrels getting in to the roof space behind our head board (not nice, at all!). Expensive, but effective. Is there a hook underneath the baffle from which to hang the feeder?

Yes! There is a hook to hang bird feeder under the baffle.

Does anyone know the diameter of the central hole with the inserts removed, as this won't fit the pole. Thanks.

If u take away the inserts then u wldn’t be able to attach a feeder underneath the dome.

How do i attach hook to loop? do i need to saw off a bit of metal as the obvious place (l shaped) on the other side of the hook plate is closed.

The hook is already attached to the loop. The loop passes through the hole in the baffle and the hook hangs underneath. I recommend hanging the loop from an additional 60cm 'tree hook' (RSPB shop) for extra squirrel deterrence. Make sure you hang the feeder well away from the tree trunk so that squirrels can't jump onto it.
