The most thorough and honest review
For starters, I LOVE how my counter looks. For a quick and easy solution this was great, but not perfect. For the application, you will 1000% need two people, a razor blade and TIME. I am super crafty and a very handy woman who can fix appliances so I’m no DIY dumby and I’m a perfectionist but this took hours to do which I was not expecting. Do yourself the favor and if you can, remove the whole sink. My faucet was stuck on so one of the pictures you can see where the overlap is showing but due to this pattern being sooo forgiving, it hides it well. Now for the forgiveness aspect, just know this stuff is sticky as crap so if you make a mistake and need to pull it up be so careful cause it will rip, the picture next to my microwave you can maybe find where I ripped it and ended up cutting a not straight line but again, so forgiving that it takes a moment to see. NOW FOR THE NOT PERFECT PART… this looks AMAZING at night in the light of my kitchen but in direct sunlight from outside there are bubbles that just don’t seem to want to leave, tiny but still there and the tool to push this contact paper down leaves tiny scratch marks everywhere that reflect off the light. With all that being said, this was perfect to make me hate my ugly kitchen a little less and at night, this bad boy looks like granite but it’s still at the end of the day $160 contact paper but if given the choice I would do it again and I’m so glad I went with this pattern and not the marble for the forgiveness alone.

Looks like real granite, fantastic!
We purchased an older house and the kitchen needed some updating. We don't have the money to do a remodel right now so we found this is a cheaper upgrade option. It looks Fantastic! I am amazed. My relatives came over and actually thought I replaced the counter with real granite. It looks that good. It feels nice and is easy to clean and feels smooth. What a difference this makes in our kitchen for a fraction of the price. This did take me the entire day but I managed to do the whole thing in one day. It's extremely sticky and is not going to come off! Here's a couple things I learned during install.1. Don't try to measure it to size and then cut and then hope to stick it on. It just won't come out right now matter how perfect your measure it. As the instructions say, just stick it on and then cut the edges off after you've put it on.2. It is really hard to get all the air bubbles out. If you have to, go slow to get the air bubbles out as you go because it's a lot harder to get them out after you put the entire sheet down.3. Don't try to cut it so that the edges of two pieces meet perfectly. It will never come out perfect. Just overlap it. That way you ensure there's no gap in between the two pieces and you won't be able to see the overhang anyway. I woul also suggest folding over the edges and overlapping the sides so the edges are nice and smooth.4. I used the box cutter and that worked well for me. Don't feel the need to buy any additional wallpaper smoothing I'ma cutting kit. You definitely need a long straight edge to cut against so your ends go seamlessly against the wall and edges.5. This is a big project and took me the entire day for our huge kitchen. Having some help to hold up the role as you push down the pieces into place will certainly make it easier. I think it was well worth the work and completely transforms your kitchen.

Top Quality
This was one of the more expensive options that I found. It is heat resistant (very important) AND waterproof. I was not disappointed with this product. You do get what you pay for. These countertops are high traffic in my home so I was not upset spending more in exchange for quality. It was thicker than most that I've seen. It will definitely hide small imperfections on your counter tops. Repositioning was a little difficult and I did have to reposition a few times but I attempted this myself and I would suggest having another set of hands assist with the process. It's not easy but I didn't expect it to be. It is time consuming and my suggestion is to be patient because it is worth it. The color to me was accurate from the online pictures, and honestly I thought it looked better in person. It does have that nice shiny granite look to it. Ultimately very happy with the final product and the process to apply was as expected. Worth the time and worth the money.

This is not your average vinyl -
I purchased this to cover up an older Formica bathroom counter. This is a thick vinyl and if you are doing a larger, angled or oddly shaped space I recommend a second pair of hands. lol.I tried doing this on my own, and I succeeded - mostly. Any imperfections or mistakes were mine alone.I was fortunate that the sink was out of the counter when I did this, as I don't recommend trying to go around a sink or behind it while it's installed. When I got to tricky areas it did help to have a hair dryer to warm it up a little to do curved areas - but I wouldn't recommend a lot of heat because you don't want to stretch it out and make it thin. That's when another pair of hands would help! lol.The adhesive was VERY strong -but you could still remove the vinyl if you needed to adjust it. But once you set it and left it for awhile it is ON.So far I have not had any nicks or issues with it and if I wanted to change another counter I would use this product again. If after some more time I notice any problems I will update my review.

Looks great!!
My husband and I decided to downsize our house and buy something a little smaller and cheaper as we get closer to retirement. The house we bought was built in the early 2000s and was a little bit outdated. I wanted to redo the kitchen countertops, but did not want to spend a fortune. My husband did, the countertops for me and I think they look amazing.

Selling photo is misleading
This product photographs well but the selling photo is misleading. The product I received doesn’t look like the selling photo. In person the “granite” looks too fake for what we paid for, over $120 🤷♀️. I’m returning it and want my money back.
