Does the bare minimum
Cheap, using it as home media slaveAccording to CoreTemp, under load(updates, installing applications) would hit 85C but seems to idle around 50~~, chrome youtube 1080p video would bring temps up to high 50s and 60sQuiet, no real upgrade potential, so this one is like barebones, don't try to run CAD or photoshop edit stuff, word and excel should be fine

A Mighty Mini that packs a lot of horsepower
I bought this 2 yrs ago to help me work remotely from home. I was soon after displaced from my home due to a neighbor's actions causing me to couch-surf with friends/relatives until my apartment was restored. That work has taken over a year's time in which I would have to leave home while more work was done. Each time I had to move I packed this little mini-PC, along with all my cables, a mouse and small wireless keyboard in an airtight, waterproof plastic bin that fit in a suitcase.Everywhere I went I was able to easily hook up this mini-pc to any available tv set to begin to work. If no tv was available, I would retrieve my small lightweight monitor from storage and quickly set it up and get to work. I"m finally back home and was checking the mini's technical specs to see if it can handle my ethernet and some USB 3.0 peripheral. I was blown away at the power this mighty device has. Here we are a few years later and its still going strong with plenty of room to handle everything I throw at it.Now I'm thinking of buying a projector not only for presentations, but also for movies, gaming and a few more things for entertainment.

Worked for about 2 hours - Edit to include great customer service.
[EDIT - 7/25/2020] - So it is now several days after leaving a one-star review and after contacting customer service listed in the paper work, I was put in touch with the seller. My full purchase price has been refunded plus they are sending me a replacement computer. So far, I can't ask for better customer service, it has been exemplary.I had planned to use this for computer control of my telescope setup. When I first got it, I powered it up just fine and took the time to set it up for remote desktop. Then I didn't use it for couple of months while I got the rest of the telescope gear together. This evening it worked long enough for me to load my astronomy software and then just quit. I tried reset multiple times and finally unplugged it several times and nothing worked.

Very Nice PC 'In a box'!
I've only had this N40 computer for a day .. so this review is preliminary. A few comments:- The Celeron N4000 cpu is very capable for all routine uses that you would use a PC for.- 4 GB ram is also adequate for all routine PC uses. You can easily have several apps open and Chrome with several tabs open at the same time.- 64 GB of permanent storage is about the minimum to manage Windows 10 and it's updates and yet have a reasonable amount of room for apps and data files. 32 GB is a struggle to get the Windows 10 updates installed- This has many ports .. more than the small laptop that I'm typing this on! This will support most common uses of the N40- It booted up quickly and within a few hours the Windows 10 Pro downloaded and installed the updates to make it current- I plugged it into an HDMI port on my TV and connected a bluetooth keyboard and now have a widescreen 'PC'. Very simple to get this working. I powered up the N40 and in a few sections the Windows home screen appeared. I turned on the bluetooth keyboard and it was active on the N40 in seconds to allow me to enter my password. The display on my inexpensive 42 inch LCD TV is perfect to my eye.- The N40 typically gets just slightly warm to the touch. Have it displaying video (or other compute intensive app) will make it warm up a bit more, but not excessive. No fan and no need for one.- Two good options to add more storage: the SD card slot and the internal connector where a very large capacity SSD card may be added.- In summary .. this is an impressive computer in an approximately 5 x 5 x 1 inch box. It has all the resources to support many situations where a small computer is indicated.

Got taken again: Read the Description details WOW!
First the main description said 128G, in the details it said "up too," Deceiving!!Second even the box said Gigabit Ethernet - Nope system shows 10-100.Up to 2.8Ghz that's a flat out lie, barely gets 1.x So slow. And boot; Wow slow! In fact so slow, I switched to a Ubuntu OS to try and get some speed-Nope! Still a DOG. I did purchase it for a PI hole system, so in that respect it will work,WOW folks Amazon is so deceptive these days. Devil in the details.I would not recommend this one for anything.

Was I surprised
I got this 3 days ago and plugged it into my TV and off to the race it went. It comes with Windows 10 version 1909 and updating took a while but I expected that so I just let it sit and do its thing. Now you only have 64gig of space on the drive so after all the updates and apps that come in windows, you will have to do some cleaning up.After removing all the apps I will not use and using storage sense I have over half the drive free. I have not installed Chrome ( don't think it would work well ) I did upgrade Microsofts Edge browser to the new chrome version and its working great.Day 3 installed Ubuntu 20.04 and the install went well but the performance did slow down a bit. I only gave it about a hour ( didn't give it a fare shake ) with Ubuntu on it and decided to go back to Windows. Now I forgot it came with Windows 1909 and the only USB I have is version 2004. When I did the upgrades on 1909 it said 2004 would be coming soon.Installed Windows 10 version 2004 and it's not having any problems so far.I would recommend one of these devices if all you want to do is surf and browse the internet why pay more.
