I carried out a simple test for this faraday box. I palced both my key fobs in the box and carried the box to the car. I found that the car door still opened. Is this right?Can somebody clarify please. I thought the Faraday box I thought idea is to block the signal.In this case with the box with both key fobs inside the box and in my hand clearly does not work. So a complete waste of money. Will not recommend anybody to buy this product.Also the box is just big enough to house a 1 bunch of keys with the fob and a second fob which most cars have. Good job my bunch of is not that many

After hearing news of increase in car theft due to keyless entry cars, I was looking for something that would prevent my and wife's cars from being stolen.I came across this product on Amazon and decided to give it a go.It is large enough to store my and my wife's car keys as well as, the backup keys. So 4 keys in total!I put the keys and took the box next to the cars to do some testing. I was holding the box just an inch away from my wife's car. The keyless entry did not work while the key was in the box and just an inch away!Tried with my car next. And for some odd reason, I was able to unlock my car while the box was up to 4-5 inches away. Any further than that and the keyless entry did not work.Given that the keys are sitting in the middle of the living room in a Farady cage, I feel much better.Good luxurious look and feel. Well made product.

There’s been a spate of car thefts in my area so I thought I really needed to invest in one of these. After reviewing what was on offer to store my car key with an RFID blocker, I settled on this box as it seemed the most reliable for the long term rather than a pouch. It is more expensive and considering it’s just a box, ~ £20 does seem a bit steep. However, based on the quality of it, I think it justifies the price point. The box is small (~10 cm length x ~8.5 cm width x ~4 cm depth) but it is big enough to store my car key fob and also a bunch of house keys as the lid adds an extra ~ 2 cm depth to the box when closed. The internal casings are enclosed in what looks like good quality fabric and glued pretty well into the outer box casing. There are no blobs of glue visible that would indicate poor quality issues. The outer side is encased in faux suede and it appears to stitched perfectly. There is also a little lock which I haven’t used as the lid is very snugly fitted so unlikely to open if you knocked it over. Like probably everyone who buys one of these, the first thing I did was test it. I locked my car, placed the key in the box and tried to open the car door. Needless to say, the car door wouldn’t unlock. I had a look at what it would take to make a DIY version and the critical factor is that you would need to isolate the inner aluminium (or more likely, foiled wrapped) casing from the outer wall. I tested putting my key in a aluminium tin in a larger metal box but this still let the signals through to my car to open the door. As I much rather save time, this box is does the job better than my lame DIY attempt! As I’ve only had this for a week, I’ll keep testing it and hopefully it’ll keep doing the job.

Very nice quality box with a lovely finish. Much better than having those tiny pouches. Put two sets of keyless car keys including the house keys, all fitted snugly in the box and sealed it. Walked right up to both cars and both wouldn't open. Works perfectly. A great way of stopping thieves from boosting the signal from your keys.

I was initially sceptical at first, wondering if a product of this type would actually work (reading various reviews) however I’m so pleased that I purchased this particular one because it actually does! So, with both of my BMW car keys in the case, and lid closed, I held the case right up against the vehicle door handle (as I have comfort access), and to my complete surprise it did NOT unlock when I attempted to pull the door handle. I highly recommend this product, considering the spate of vehicle thefts using remote relays to steal vehicles with keyless entry, very much worth investing in one of these. Very timely delivery, arrived within 2-3 days from ordering. I’m also quite impressed with the build quality of this particular brand, very well made. I chose the large version, which can pretty much take 4 car keys at minimum, with space left for 1-2 more. Definitely well recommended.

Fantastic quality of this little box. Big enough to hold 2 x seat fobs & keyrings attatched. Held the box with key fobs inside next to car & could not unlock car door, so it works a treat,would highly recommend.

Now, I bought this for an extra level of reassurance and security and if it actually helps and does it's job, then having 1 possible circumstance that my car key fob details could be stolen, would totally warrant paying anything for a box to prevent any breach. It is also a handy box to store your car key or the likes, so you know where it is when you take your car to and return from work. As it stands, I am not aware that I have had any possible security breach, so paying what it is for the box, does seem expensive. Peace of mind always helps and if you feel more relaxed knowing you have done all you can to protect yourself from any theft, then it is recommended. It seems like it is constructed well enough and it has become my Man's watch/key (not jewellery), box.

Great little box. It's nicely made from, i think, leather and the very nice stitching around the box sets it off a treat. The clasp is secure and an 'original' design. The inside is covered well in whatever the material is that shields the keys and it is big enough for 2 car fobs with mine having 3 other house keys attached to my fob ring, be aware, you wouldn't get much more in than that, if you have a big bunch of keys on both fobs, you might want a larger box. My only niggle, if you can call it that, is that the lid is such a snug fit when closing, i hope it doesn't wear the material where the lid and body touch, but that doesn't take any stars away, it's a choice buy.
