This housing is absolutely beautiful! It is glossy and smooth as silk to touch. The color is so rich and vibrant, and the shimmery chameleon purple/blue combination is magical! It fit my controller perfectly and was a breeze to install. I also bought the matching front shell from this seller. Both are good quality for the price, affordable, and look stunning together! The only downside is, of course, the glossiness making the controller slick during extended play times, but I knew that before I ordered. I'm a super satisfied customer! Thank you!

Installation was a bit harder for me than in the tutorials. I have the exact same model number but it’s a newer volume. But if I can do it, you can too! I included a picture of the back shell and how it looks up front. The shell has a sandy texture which adds a bit more grip and has a cute color 👍🏻

Excellent quality shell for the Dual Shock 4. Installing the insides were easy, everything fit how it should have, and it looks great and feels incredible in the hand.

I ordered this back casing along with a front casing from the same company. The back casing is just as high quality as the front, and was about as easy to install. The only problem I came across was the design of the notch for the PlayStation button. It appeared to be designed differently such that the rubber piece that holds the PlayStation button in place did not fit in properly. Because of this, the button isn't as secure as I'd like it to be. Instead, it requires a bit more effort than it otherwise should to press. Other than this slight issue, everything else fits nicely into the controller. The difference between this and the standard plating isn't noticeable in the hands. I would highly recommend picking up a back plate from this company if you're in the market for something new for your PS4 controller.
