The Essential Charlie Daniels Band

A great album! There is another version of the essential ... containing 2 discs, this is the one disc version. One "Essential" album does not do the Charlie Daniels Band justice.

Although I purchased this CD for one song, Uneasy Rider, I found that there were several on here that I had forgotten about. Charlie Daniels really lets loose on his songs and gets into them. The energy of band comes flowing through with each and every song on the compilation. The CDB puts a bit of comedy in their songs such as The Devil Went Down To Georgia and Uneasy Rider. If you're in the partying mood having a barbque and a cooler full of Coors (which I don't like BTW) then party hardy and put this CD on and get down, get with it.

Has a good recording sound with lots of fiddle soundin rock

I have always loved Charlie and one of the hi-lights of my life was to meet him in person.He is a very gracious star.

It's just classical CDB with all my favorites and some good music from them that I hadn't heard. Great all around music from Charlie Daniels band and I'm glad to have it in my collection.

Brilliant album. I bought this on a whim after having heard one or two songs that I liked. Great driving music, good fun and easy to sing along to. Hope you like it as much as I do. "The Devil Went a Down to Georgia" is a great song!

Pretty good .Not 5* for me.

Charlie Daniels does not make dud songs or albums. You can buy any of them with the confidence that the songs will be stories, upbeat and cheerful and the sort of music you can stick on anywhere. This is a kind of best of and I've already reviewed one of those. There are additional tracks on this, the legend of wooly swamp being my favourite.

Only knew 'The Devil Came Down To Georgia' so bought it for that. I've had previous joys with 'such a body's Essentials' so opted for this one too. It didn't fail to deliver. I am now a CDB fan!

I just love music by the Charlie Daniels Band. This CD in particular is a compilation of his very best music with 'The Devil Rode Down to Georgia' simply fabulous. This is the 3rd I have bought with the previous 2 having been taken with my permission by Dinner guests. I'm a generous person. Buy it you will not be disappointed.
