Really Good
Reads like a screenplay. I like it a lot. Can’t wait to read the next. Hope it is as good or better.

Vulkan is one of my favorite Primarchs and I've been waiting quite a while to get this book. My only dislike is that Black Library is taking so long to put these books out in mass market. Mass Market was the only available thing when I started buying the Horus Heresy series and now that they are doing hardback, trade paperback, and lastly mass market it's almost 2 years between release and mm. Other than that, fantastic story.

Solid read
Good book, but Numeon is kinda a douche. They try and make him seem loyal and stoic and steadfast, but the writing just makes him seem like a douchebag and unlikable.

Once it gets going, you won't want to stop.
This book picks up where Vulkan left off on Macragge. While it is a bit slow to start, once it gets going it really takes off and you want to keep reading just one more chapter, which is easy to do as the way Nick Kyme writes (chapters are relatively brief) the chapters almost will you to read another before putting it down so you can finally go to bed. As you get answers to the questions you begin the book with, new ones arise to take their place and you're left wanting more.

Hope lives
Numeon is my new hero. This was fun. Salamanders go hard. Might be my favorite legion for now. Looking forward to the next one.

Taking Vulkan home
This is the story of the Salamanders, by all rights a Chapter that should be dead. With their dead primarch, they try to get home to make the impossible possible. It's a doomed story, with the ending that has to happen.

Fantastic read!!!
What a great book! I’ve never been a Salamanders fan, until now! Totally awesome. I have come to expect such high standards in these Horus Heresy series.

Boring.
Boring, another version of the adventure traveling through the warp trope that’s been done so many times. Should have been a novella. Pseudo religious stuff that doesn’t make much sense. This book is imminently skippable, just read a plot synopsis, or just read the last chapter.
