This gommet and pliers set was for repairing my belt. The leather belts I have been getting are no longer real leather even though the cost over $20 for a strip of something which must be like glue and fiber. So the holes tear. I got this grommet set and found out that the belt buckle needed a size larger grommet to fit through the 3/16 grommet I ordered after carefully measuring the size on the holes in my leather-like belt. I found that another buckle worked and I switched out the belts and things are okay. As for this set, it worked great and was the cheapest way I could find to buy and use only 6 grommets with something to "smash" them with. So I got a lot more grommets than I needed. The other tools I looked at were more expensive and would be great if I was doing this for the next 20-years. But I just wanted to fix a belt and I hope this will be the last time I need to do that. I could not find anyway to buy different size grommets without spending about $10 on each size to "crush" them. So this was a good fix for my project. Needed to replace grommets on a dog collar that I really like (my dog seems to like it too). This made the repair quick and easy. Why did I repair the collar - couldn't find another one exactly like it. If I could have I would bought a new one instead. But with the grommet repaired and good washing - it was as good as new. Have since used it to do other repairs. Nice for the money.

This was exactly what I ordered, and the price and shipping were OK. Only problem is that all of the grommets were the same depth, which was not enough to reach through the belt that I wanted to reinforce. They work fine on thinner material.

The grommet pliers are fine, but the bag of grommets only came with male parts and no female. so they are useless. I needed them to connect wires to reptile heat tape. Would have been fine with the right parts.

Works OK as expected. The pliers are of good quality for the price but the eyelets are just so - so.

this works so great I use it mostly for my leather knife sheaths that I make works way better than I expected these don't take a washer just put them through the hole on each end and push with the tool awesome lanyard holes

Its ok but will bend when you squeeze it hard
