These bottles are wonderful. While there are many people who said that the caps were difficult, they must never have used anything with this type of cap before. The caps work as designed. They are supposed to be tight for the air-tight seal. They are easy to put on if you know how. I use these bottles for my homemade kefir water soda. After fermenting the water, I mix it with flavoring (ginger, vanilla, juice, etc) and then put in these bottles for a second fermentation. This makes the kefir fizzy like soda-pop. They work great and now my kids can have healthy "soda-pop" to drink. I use 2/1 kefir to juice. They clean up easily with soapy water, but if needed you can use a bottle brush. I even take the caps off sometimes and run the bottles through the dishwasher, then pop the caps back on.

With these magical bottles I have made all sorts of creative and wonderful liquours. Some of which are; Lemoncello, coffee liquour, Chocolate Liquour, Vanilla Liquour as well as grapefruit, lime and coconut. I highly recommend them- the tops are tough to get on initially, but I had a friend with good hands and a screwdriver quickly learn how and we were in business. I have actually saved a ton of money with these as those liquours are very expensive pre made and bottled. I can make them at home and of higher quality. The only problem is size- I wish they were bigger as every thing gets drank up so fast! (: Highly recommend, don't forget the bottle brush to clean them.

I was making homemade vanilla, when I ordered these bottles. When they arrived, I didn't know what to expect of them, but they are of great quality and the tops are not difficult to work with at all. My brother in law uses these to make wines and he uses the ceramic tops, but these do just fine for my intentions. The tops are made of plastic and they do seal very well. I have no complaints and they are really great to use, to store drinks and liquids in. Highly recommend them.

These bottles are pretty good. The first cap isn't easy to get on, but once you get the hang of it, the rest of them snap right into place, and the tops seal quite well. They are solid and well made, and not hard to clean. I have several different size bottle brushes and a 60 quart pot to boil them in after I scrub them with soap and water, and then a vinegar and water rinse. I make Kahlua and Baileys for Christmas, and these bottles hold the right amount. These would be fine to use as a water bottle on a nightstand next to the bed. If, perchance, the bottle were to be knocked to the floor, the water won't leak out. If you're the creative type, these can be decorated and used as vases or candle holders, or filled with marbles or colored stones.

I bought these bottles to make my own vanilla extract, and they arrived pretty quickly. The bottles themselves are great, but the tops are really hard to close and open. The installation isn't bad (you just slide one metal prong into each hole), but when it comes to actually working them, it's nearly impossible. I have to push the flip part of the lid against my counter to get it to close, and put cloths around my hands to open them back up. I've only put four caps on, but my fingers already hurt. And when the bottle does open, there's a big pop. I'm a little wary of vanilla extract going everywhere when I do wind up making it.

Thick walls, good for pressurized drinks like beer or kombucha. The flip caps are kind of hard to flip at first, but they provide a tight seal. The quality of the glass is okay, all of the bottles have a weird warm around the middle of them, as can be seen in some of the photos. I think this is from variable glass thickness across the walls of the bottle. So if you're not okay with the glass looking a little warped, these might not be for you.

Cheap and NOT the one pictured. These are taller & slimmer, not what I wanted. these bottles are very poor quality, very loose tolerances, very poor fit, the wire bale is cheap and flimsy, the receiving holes for the wire bale are almost non-existent making me wonder how they will hold up under pressure, the stopper is cheap plastic (all of em are plastic but this one isn't even high density plastic) the seal is cheap and the entire swing top does not line up well on any of them (all 12) Sorry to say but this is what you get when you order 10,000 of them off Alibaba for 5 cents each - so someone is making a killing. Don't know what happened but I am overseas and I cant really return stuff very easily so lets just say when I hand out my brew, I don't care if these come back or not. Cheers!

I ordered these bottles to use for Kombucha and they are working exactly as I had hoped. The shipping was quick, no broken bottles or missing parts. Attaching the caps to the bottles was easy for my husband to do; I didn't even try it so I'm not sure how difficult it would be for a smaller, weaker (lol) person. The glass is very thick and sturdy. We've already traveled with the bottles and have had no breakage issues. It is easy to burp the bottles; I just place one hand over the top of the cap and slowly release it with the other hand. The pressure escapes and I recap it, no problems. I would definitely order these bottles again.
