Defective bulb
1 of them burnt out and now I have to send all 6 back. Just a hassle I don't need for a light bulb

Good value but not instant on
The CFL's were a good value but I was disappointed that they take a minute or so to come up to full brightness. I do like the fact that they are more compact than the average CFL.

LW Quality Light Bulb.
2 out of the 6 I bought burned out instantly, very low quality for the amount that you pay for them.

Bright compact bulb; poor quality
About a year ago, I bought several (16) of these bulbs because the brightness (1000 lumens) for their compact size made them ideal candidates for ceiling fan light fixtures (they fit in practically all globes.) However, a couple burned out immediately and now, a year later the failure rate is at 40% (another one just failed). I think that's unacceptable for the price paid. While the package say "Lasts 9 years guaranteed", the warranty says to return it to the place of purchase (the one I bought from no longer carries them) or "...mail the bulb, proof, of purchase, register receipt, and your name and address to Earthmate...". Seems pretty onerous given the failure rate. So, if you buy these, make sure you keep all the paperwork. You'll need it.
