I am not too sure what other reviewers are talking about. I put a scoop in a shaker and shook it for about 30 seconds. It foamed up a little bit, but after a minute it was ready to drink and it had absolutely no clumps in it. Mabey they're not shaking hard enough?? Anyway, I gave it 5 stars because the price I paid for what it offers is amazing. Not only is it arguably a better protein than any other kind of protein, it has 3 grams of protein per scoop. The flavor is decent, for being vanilla carmel. I think the chocolate would be a little better tasting. Will be buying again.

The Short VersionThis tastes really bad. I don't like to give negative reviews because I don't like messing with anyone's livelihood, but this stuff is awful.The Long VersionI have experimented with various protein powders for over 10 years now. I've tried whey concentrate, whey isolate, rice, vegan, and more. Due to some apparent lactose intolerance issues I've developed, I thought I'd give this a try. This is one of only 2 or 3 proteins that I will have to just throw away. I'm not sure why, but my experience almost seems to be the opposite of many other reviewers.THE GOODPrice - It seems pretty cheap compared to other beef proteinsMixability - Oddly, I thought it mixed very well. I just use a Smart Shake shaker, & after shaking for 30 seconds or so it blended pretty smoothly. There was a few sticky, dusty clumps at the spout, but I've had numerous other proteins do the exact same thing. There weren't any gross clumps as some seem to have experienced.THE BADTaste - This stuff tastes so bad it literally makes me sick in my stomach. I hate to throw anything away - especially after I paid for it. But after trying 5 or so servings over several days, I just have to give up & get rid of it. I can't even describe the taste - it's like some sort of artificial, chemical-laden flavor that is so horrible it seemed like I could taste it from my mouth all the way into my stomach. I would like to think I'm not that picky. I've tried so many proteins that I don't expect any of them to taste good. I just buy them as a healthy, filling alternative to other junk foods I might otherwise consume. But this stuff tastes bad, really, really bad.

Flavor is a little rough. Ok product. Not my favorite in any of the flavors.

Great whey protein alternative, tastes good, takes a little work to mix so make sure you have a blender bottle, kinda sticky but not really an issue. Would recommend.

Does taste good. Nice consistency if you mix it with about a 50/50 mix of almond milk and ice then blend it. It says not to use in a blender, probably because it does tend to foam, but since I'm using the Wal-Mart generic version of a Nutri-Bullet that blends in a single serving sized container, there really isn't anywhere for the foam to go. In a full sized blender it probably would be an issue. Good choice for those of us who can't have dairy and want something that doesn't taste like garbage.

It gives me the 'want' to move around more. Im down 10% in body fat since supplementing this for most sugar and carbs. Low carb, medium fat, high protein. Thats the way to go.The biggest plus of thus is that there is no sugar but tastes great.

Of all the beef proteins I've tried, this is the best tasting one so far. I'm not much of a chocolate fan, so I'm only talking about vanilla and fruit flavored beef proteins.The problem with this protein is it's mixability. This is by far the worst one EVER! Worse than any whey protein, plant based protein, and beef protein i have ever taken. I put it in a shaker with a metal mixing ball and shake like i'm having a seizure. It does not disolve... but it definitley foams up! The foam finally settles and the powder is still not disolved. I've also made some in the morning and took it to work with me for lunch. I was thinking that shaking it viloently and putting it away would do the trick, but when lunch came around, it was lumped up into MUCH larger chunks.The only way i have found this powder to mix well is by blending it in my majic bullet blender. There are no chunky lumps left over... but i am left burping up air from it still foaming up. I have not yet figured out how long it would take for the foam to go away after blending it.If you have time, it will eventually mix and dissolve if you keep shaking it for about 5 minuts in a protein ahaker cup with a mixing ball in it.It is also a very fine powdery mixture that splashes back up every time i drop a scoop into my cup. How i hate when they do that. You have to take extra care when dropping it in. If the cup is small and does not fit the scooper (like my majic bullet cup) then the powder coming back up and spilling onto your counter top is inevitable.I can't give this product more than 1 star. The one star is for the flavor. The four missing stars is for the colossal troubles i must go through to make my shake.
