Perfect Lifting Gloves
After trying several fitness gloves for weight lifting, I kept going back to my old Cannondale cycling gloves. The gloves that I purchased for weight lifting contained too much padding which prevented a good grip on the weight and placed too much strain on my fingers. This pair: http://www.amazon.com/Bionic-FITNESS-Womens-Fitness-Gloves/dp/B001ZTU4SS/ref=pd_sim_sg_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=0NAKRXAPK7RS1MM9ZNH8 in particular was a poor choice because of the padding (and they were falling apart after a couple of months. My cycling gloves are not padded; rather they are thin suede leather that helped prevent calluses and allowed a good grip. Since I've worn holes in the cycling gloves, it was time to search for gloves again. This pair is perfect! These gloves have some padding, but it doesn't affect functionality. They also have a thick rubber-ish material on points of contact. The rubber also helps prevent slipping and improves grip. There are two tabs that extend upward toward two middle fingers for extra protection; I have calluses already in those areas because no other finger-less glove protects that area. I used the measurement chart for sizing: although I am a petite person, I have unusually long thin fingers and always buy a size large in gloves. The measurement chart indicated a medium (measured 7 inches) and it fits perfect. I can't imagine how a lifting glove could be any better than these. I can't yet speak for durability, but I will update after a few months of use. BTW, the gloves did have a slight odor when they arrived, but it dissipated over a couple of weeks.UPDATE 4/3/15: I've been using these gloves 3-4 times per week for several months and they are holding up great! They show very little signs of wear and still do a great job of preventing calluses and improving grip. In fact, calluses that I had previously are now gone. I'm sure they will wear out eventually, and I would certainly buy this brand again.

Live them. Study and help keep your hands stable when lifting.
They have been very useful for me. I have a much better grip on my weights so I'm getting better stability when I lift at the gym. They are a but tight once you get the blood pumping though. Seems like they are easy to put on but I little hard to remove for some reason probably just me. I have already noticed the calluses on my hands have improved and I have less pain in my wrist after going to the gym. They also look really good. Seem to be sturdy and well made.Happy hunting 😁

fits well
This gloves fits well. I work out in the gym and it has grips on the gloves so it last longer. Good Buy. The only downside is that it should have fitted me on my wrist. it fits under my wrist but that's fine its durable

Great gloves for PiYo!
I've been using these gloves for about 3 weeks now, and I love them. I primarily use them for PiYo, so I use them almost every day. Between the gloves and the yoga blocks I use, I feel I've greatly improved my experience as I have less hand and wrist pain during and after my workouts. My hands do slide a little in the gloves when I'm holding a pose (like down dog split) for a while, but it isn't enough to cut into my hands or anything. I see it becoming even less of an issue as I lose more weight, thus having less pressure on my hands. The finger holes are a bit big on me, so if you've got thicker fingers, you shouldn't have any problem. The fit on the palm is perfect. The grip is also really helpful for moving to regular push-ups since I can't use the blocks there as they would slide on the hardwood floors. Definitely recommend if you're looking for something you can use for yoga gloves but also use for weight lifting as I intend to do in the future. Oh, and the smell dissipated by the second day, so it's not that bad.

and they do a good job at protecting my hands while lifting weights
The fit was fairly predictable based on measurements, though I might have gone a size smaller.I agree with other customers that the Velcro front closure can interfere somewhat with hand movement/bending and when positioned wrong can be a little bit uncomfortable. These gloves have more material than the previous brand I'd worn and the result for me is that they don't air dry very well. Which also means they stink at the end of a day, and I must wash them daily. These are advertised as washable- I wasn't sure if this meant machine washable but they do seem to hold up well in the washing machine. However, even on a warm wash they will stain everything black/blue so be careful. (I think this is probably to be expected). They are cute, and they do a good job at protecting my hands while lifting weights.

Second Pair! Still great gloves, great price
Update: After three years with my original pair, I just bought a new set. I initially bought them for crossfit style exercise, and now I use them at OrangeTheory Fitness. These gloves are still great and for a great price. I've seen some reviews with complaints about 1) lack of padding, 2) off-gassing, and 3) velcro wear.1. In my experience, the padding is perfect: enough to prevent callouses while letting me still feel whatever I'm gripping, i.e. weights, TRX straps, rower.2. The gloves do off-gas a bit right out of the package, but they're not going to stay in the package! The smell dissipates quickly. Just take them out of the bag upon receipt--and leave them out!3. The velcro on my first pair did its job pretty darn well until I washed them. Even after that, they were wearable.I would definitely buy these gloves, and likely will again in a few years.Original Review: I use these gloves at the gym for interval training, including weights, and they've stood the test of time. No frills--they do exactly what they're supposed to, and they didn't cost an arm or a leg.
