Tell the truth. Or face the consequences. Pretty Little Liars meets Riverdale in this page-turning thriller. One year ago, there was a party. At the party, someone died. Five teens all played a part and up until now, no one has told the truth. But tonight, the five survivors arrive at an isolated mansion in the hills, expecting to compete in a contest with a $50,000 grand prize. Of course…some things are too good to be true. They were each so desperate for the prize, they didn’t question the odd, rather exclusive invitation until it was too late. Instead, they realize they’ve been lured together by a person bent on revenge who wants to finally unravel the truth about what actually happened that deadly night, one year ago. Five arrived, but not all can leave. Will the truth set them free? Or will their lies destroy them all? Review: Great twists! - I swear there was three major plot twists I didn’t see coming at all. Plus, many more in between that were just as important. Great book and kept me on my toes. Makes you want to read the next chapter until the book is done. Would recommend to a friend. Review: All the Clue Vibes! - Lured in under the ruse of a murder-mystery party, five students must face up to their lies surrounding a deadly party the year before. This book gave me all the CLUE vibes. It checked pretty much all of my boxes, so while it was a fun read, I found myself wanting to like it more than I actually did. The plot and setting gave me the perfect eerie, suspenseful, can't read this right before bed feeling, but it fell a little flat on the characters for me. They all served their purpose by occupying their respective high school stereotype but felt a little one-dimensional and left you feeling a bit indifferent about their fate.

Just ok
This Lie Will Kill You just didn't do it for me. I thought the book was okay, but it wasn't really my kind of read. The mystery had some interesting moments, but I never felt fully invested in the characters or the story. It wasn't a bad book—it just wasn't for me.

This Book Will Hook You
Pitcher weaves another twisty plot in her YA thriller, This Lie Will Kill you. Well-developed characters with cruelly intertwined pasts are all invited to a mystery dinner party in an isolated mansion. There, they must compete to solve a murder, and the winner is promised a $50,000 scholarship to the school of his or her choice. But are they there to solve the murder of one of their classmates--and the love of one of their lives--that happened after a party one year ago? All of them were involved, and all of them have lied about what happened that night: to each other, to their parents, and to the police. Or is the murder going to happen during the dinner party, with one of the six as the victim? Immediately upon their arrival, horrifying things begin to happen. One member of their group sniffs his drink, afraid it may have been poisoned, and keels over before the liquid even touches his lips. Finger pointing and accusations ensue, and as their past lies come to the surface, the six are pitted against each other in what becomes a terrifying game of survival. I wouldn't categorize this book as "horror;" rather "suspense" or "dark YA." The pace is fast, the prose is beautifully written, and the truths that come to light will surprise you until the last page.

Well written novel
Well written novel, and like the narrative. After a while of reading similar novels, we need more innovation in the storyline, though.
