Our dog picks up many ticks and some of them get past our scrutiny and attach themselves to our Springer Spaniel. I bought this set to try out and judge their effectiveness at removing ticks.I admit I was sceptical about their usefulness, but they are surprisingly effective at removing those stubborn ticks. You slide the tool over the tick's head and lever the tool back. And, hey presto, the tick decides it's better to let go than face being stretched like it's on a rack. The ticks let go but remain wedged in the tool. (We always disinfect the spot where the tick attaches itself to our dog).You can then put the tick in the bin (or squash it first). Recommended.

These are what arrived a day after placing the order but they are a completely different product and colour. It looks like a thinner design and the only reason I went for these black ones was because they was described as "𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗕𝗟𝗘" over the yellow ones also available on Amazon. The handle doesn't have the grips as pictured either. For such a cheap product it doesn't really matter to me, but BE AWARE! If you are specifically choosing these black ones over the Yellow ones for the same reason I did then you may be disappointed!

This is way better that trying to pull ticks off by hand or tweezers - it gets the ticks out alive. I just pull up rather than twist as there is a chance you will stress the tick, however I find this is good for medium to large size ticks only. I can’t get the small ones out with these as they just fit through the gaps hence the 4 stars otherwise it’s a great value product

Recieved a different item to what is advertised a lot flimsier and different to what they advertise. The ones recieved are OK but contacted Amazon as they are misleading the buyers and for the price probably know its not worth the trouble to return for refund.

Does the job very easily with only a slight twist. Thought they may be too thick but they are just fine. Handy to have in case those little blighters get a grip. Inexpensive way to remove those Lymes disease causing pests

I actually can’t review this product fully as I haven’t used it, and actually hope that I never have to. It was bought in case my dog ever gets a tick but he has thankfully not had one yet. Looks as expected and arrived in good time.

Well first of all it gets my high praise as it echo friendly then I have arthritis in both hands but the way this is designed I'm able to hold no problem then no matter weather it a bird cat dog or any animal you can use this on and the fact there is 2 sizes don't matter what size tick as long as you follow the instructions you have no fear of tick hook be left In. No move large vet bills to get them removed am a very happy customer

A good item to have in your 1st aid kit. I ordered 2 sets 1 for home and 1 for my work first aid kit as I work in the woods.(Even though it says for pets) Easy to use and does the job properly, gets the ticks out without squeezing them.They were well packaged and had a speedy delivery. I will definitely recommend you to friends.
