This product worked perfect when removing highly rusted 37 year old u-joints. Well worth the $50 regardless of where it’s made.

This is a heavy-duty tool I have gotten pullers pitman arm, gear, and have been disappointed in their ability to hold up mainly the threads.That is not the case with this puller just changed four ball joints on a 96 Mazda b3000 truck and it performed flawlessly with a dbl hammer impact gun regulated down to 80lbs.psi.I would recommend this to anyone like me that does their own repairs.

Second set of these I've had to order in the last year. They do not hold up well when used to remove ball joints on trucks, especially HD trucks like 3/4 ton. The main bolt that does all the pressing is not of very high quality or hardened and the threads on it tend to strip. The cups also are very high strength steel and tend to dent and bend if put under a lot of PSI especially when installing the new ball joints. It does the job in a pinch but you'll most likely only get one vehicle done out of each use. Spend a little more cash and buy a good quality set if you want longevity. If you need it fast and don't want to spend the cash, this will work in a pinch!

I used this to change all the u-joints on my four wheel drive Dodge pickup. Laid driveshaft on tailgate took clamp and my battery powered impact by myself and boom boom knocked out two u-joints in about 30 minutes ..easiest u-joint change in my life and I'm 65 years old.the hole in the end of the clamp is big enough the cap on the u-joint pushes right through. Beats the heck out of two or three people using a press.didn't need to use any of the many accessories included in kit. Accessories would be real handy on ball joints. I have built cars from the ground up and I highly recommend this tool well built with lots of quality adapters.did I say I love this tool!!!!!!!

looks OK but didn't have the umph to press a u-joint out so I ended up doing it the old fashioned way with an old socket and a BFH. Would probably be ok for some other things, I thought I'd buy a tool and try to simplify the job a little but no dice. Sometimes the old way is the best way, invest in a good bench vise, it'll probably work better. Might be OK for ball joints, I haven't done a set with it yet, no go for u-joints.

My husband is a motorhead and loves spending time in the garage working on one of his many projects. This kit is going to be an awesome addition to his many tools. I was surprised that for such a reasonable cost this kit is very well made. The pieces are made of steel and all fit together nicely in a plastic carrying case. The carrying case is a simple addition but it makes a world of difference. He was able to easily replace the ball joints in my car with this kit and said it worked out well. He used to have a kit similar but it didnt have a case and over the years he lost a few pieces. Everything worked exactly as it should and my car is back on the road. Very satisfied with our purchase.

The tool itself works, and as it was inexpensive I did expect it to be a from a poor quality casting. When a seller says it works on 4x4’s, with specifically excluding any, I would expect it to work on a popular model of vehicle, that had no major changes in almost a decade.

I bought this kit to do the ball joints on my Jeep JK Rubicon. It was fantastic and worked perfectly. You can do the entire ball joint job on a JK with this kit.If you can do basic puzzles, you can probably figure out all the attachments no problem.The only teeny tiny issue I had was that I accidentally tore the O-ring that holds the press shaft inside the large screw. I ended up having to chase a ball bearing around my garage when it all came apart. That was 100% my fault and in no way reflects the quality of this kit.

I was happy to receive this and it looks like a good product but, when I used it to remove/install ball joints, the rod in the clamp seems to be stripping. I used a 22mm wrench & socket and noticed it slips as the edges are stripping due to the force necessary to remove/install. This is disappointing and will be useless once the rotation rod strips more. I guess need to spend more money on a name brand that will last a while

Made life easy changing over the lower ball joints on my 1999 Ford Expedition. I used a hammer to beat out the old one, and used this press to press in thr new joint.Use lots of anti-seize on the tool-threads to prolong tool life.

The internal threading for the spindle doesn't meet any class of fit it is so loose. The spindles threading looks good though. With such a loose fit it damaged the threads on the first use and yes I Iubed them as per the instructions. Will it get you there on a one time job sure but will it be a tool you will be able to use multiple times highly doubtful.

cheapest, most effective set available. I've looked everywhere & I've used the product several times & it is fantastic quality. rebuilt my chevy van with it. very universal. highly recommend.
