Ikea MICKE Desk, White, 105x50 cm (41 3/8x19 5/8")

An awesome product from Ikea. Liked it very much, but you have to assemble the whole product, which is fun actually. The price here on Amazon is almost double the price what the supplier pays at Ikea Hyderabad, which is unfair and you end up paying more. I think all the supplier's should reduce their profit margins and price a bit lower, so that more customers can buy.

Liked - Colour, Practical design and sturdy structureDislikes - doesn't come with installation support and takes around 4 hours DIY. Price charged is very high compared to actual price on brand's own site. Amazon please look into it

I have attached the photos that would help the buyer of this product. I have not added any accessories related to top portion of the parcel, since I have taken the picture or the necessary nuts and bolts at the later point of time.1) We get the parcel as 2 pieces viz the top portion and the bottom portion.2) Parcel recieved bit late compared to the actual delivery date3) Compared to the the price that we get for this product at Ikea Hyderabad, we will end up paying almost 90% more, because Ikea will not deliver this product to Blr or my home town(as of 28th July 2020)4) Assembling is quite big despite of providing the manual for assmebling both the parts. Assembling the top portion is less time consuming compared to the bottom portion of the full setup.5) Option has been provided, place the partitions as per the user wish by placing the necessary screws at the right place.Overall the product is good.I hope this will be helpful.

This is a great desk. Was supposed to be for the kid, but now a family favourite. Whoever has need, uses it. It has a whiteboard at the back which is made of steel and can hold anything magnetic. The drawers roll smoothly. It is overpriced on amazon. Probably sold by a vendor who is getting it from Ikea in Hyderabad and then reselling it.The item is made of particle board and all cutouts and holes are very precisely done - probably on CNC machines. The problem is that most are clueless when it comes to assembly. Unfortunately. This is true for the “assembly service”, who invariably show up with a power screwdriver (a bad idea)This is best assembled by first sorting all the parts (there is probably a hundred of them if not more). After that, carefully identify and follow steps and don’t second guess or skip steps. Anything that gets screwed in has to go in straight and be firmly tight, but not too tight. That can strip the threads (reason the power tool is a bad idea). Your children probably can do a better job interpreting the cartoonish instructions. Ours was almost entirely assembled by my class 7 kid in summer with only some checking by me.If you are unable to assemble it properly, it will wobble and then tumble down in a few months. You may leave a bad review, but it’s really not the products fault when the deficiencies are neuronal. Once you are done assembling, place a mouse on it (a computer mouse will do) and turn it into the Micke Mouse Desk.
