A powerful WIFI enabled H.265/H.264 MPEG4 encoder for IPTV and Slingbox alternative
I have had Slingbox for over 10 years which allows me to watch TV content from anywhere on my computer and mobile phones. Unfortunately, Sling Media decided to discontinue its products in 2020, and my SlingBox broke recently. Here comes the rescue from this encoder + a Smart IR Remote Control blaster with Tuya APP. This encoder output multiple format video streams, which can be played back from VLC on computers or smartphones. The instruction booklet also shows you how to set up your router so you can watch the content when you are not at home. Adding the Smart IR Blaster, you can control your home cable box using Tuya app. One more secrete not mentioned in the menu is that you can host a web page with the stream content if you know a bit of Javascript programming...just download and copy the code from the device admin status page (player.js, flv.min.js...) and create your own simple web page. With both the Encoder and a web server on the same home network, you can serve such web page so any device as long as it has a web browser no VLC app is needed. The tech support is outstanding. They sent me a digital copy of the manual upon my request. I cannot be ahppier.

Solid product but poor tech support
Like the product a lot which resolved my set top box wiring headache to a wall mount OLED TV. Unfortunately, I don't get no response from their tech support on a minor signal delay issue, wondering why some of the buyers gave them a 5 stars for that category.

You can't beat this encoder for the price and customer service...
So I do a lot of streaming for youth sports and obviously have constrained budgets to work within. We were originally using a newer Mac book pro using OBS and could only push the encoding to a certain level before CPU usage was too high and the packets started dropping. So we started looking for hardware encoders. After reviewing TeraDek and this encoder the quality is basically the same but with a much smaller price tag. Now given the TeraDek encoder may have some more portable features and user interface on the box, but to me it was not worth the hefty price tag since I can just set all the encoder settings from my Mac where I use OBS for the overlays anyways. (Basically wired: Camera -> Computer (OBS via capture card) -> OBS preview monitor to this encoder over HDMI)It does require a little know how on setting up the encoder settings and some of the network items but it was all pretty basic stuff. It also allows multiple streams to be output at once which is a great feature to be able to send to Youtube, facebook and twitch all at same time if you wish. One item I wish it had out of the box is HLS Streaming output to YouTube (Search ‘YouTube hls-ingestion'). Beings this encoder is HEVC/H.265 would be nice to take advantage of that output to Youtube lowering the bandwidth requirement while keeping a quality picture. (I have a request in to have this added, hoping to see this come in the near future)That being said I have been working with Customer support during my initial tests and unboxing asking a few different questions. Being a developer I am always wanting to ensure I have all the available API's, endpoints, and system level access to monitor things or create my own custom architecture. They have been more than helpful. Linda and Allen have been very patient over several communications in answering any questions I have and I now have all the access to the development aspects of this encoder to allow me to unleash even more customization.Would recommend this product to others!

Good for some just not for live events that change on the fly.
Once you get it set up it works great. The negatives, it's challenging to set up.If you set up a stream there is no way other then to unplug it to stop streaming. This would be good if you need a 24/7/365 stream. But for on location and live production too hard to set up on the fly.

Works well with streaming content to Facebook & Youtube, Instructions could be better.
The product works well, although if you are not tech savvy or have patience with researching instructions independently of the manufacturer, you may have difficulty with getting the device operational. I have been using this product for a few weeks now without issues, simultaneously streaming to both Facebook and Youtube. I deducted one star because the instructions were poorly written/translated and because dhcp is turned off by default which can make the initial connection frustrating depending on your local network ip addressing scheme.

Works perfectly with SRT & RTMP streaming!
I originally bought this as a cheap alternative for the LiveU Solo. Works GREAT. I use the SRT option w/ 6000ms latency, streaming H.265 1080p 30fps @2K VBR and feed it into vMix's SRT input, then NDI it to OBS. WORKS GREAT and LOOKS GREAT for twitch/youtube streaming. Only use my phone hotspot, and it still works perfectly 95% of the time for IRL streams.Customer support is also extremely fast.

Very Versatile Encoder!
dont let the price fool ya - so far for me, this unit has worked great! i only encode one stream at a time with it, but there are several firmware versions available from customer service if ya need it to do something specific with it. and they respond in a timely manner! for my basic streaming needs, this encoder does the job well!
