Almost perfect!
Beautiful and sturdy, except for the handles on the lids, which are more decorative than practical. If you open by pulling the edges of the lids, you'll have no problem.

Narrower and taller than my old canisters and have a pretty tight seal
I loved my 30+ year old porcelain canisters but they no longer had a tight seal and were starting to crack. I tested the seal on these by putting the lid on and lifting them and they seemed great! (I'll have to see later if washing them makes them looser) Now, I wouldn't lift them by the top handle when they are FULL but they are still tighter than my old canisters. Plus, I love how they take up less space on my counter because they are taller and narrower but still fit under my shelves above. (See them behind my old ones in the photo)
