Perfect fit on Dell XPS15
My several year old Dell XPS15 has had a loose connection on the charge cord for some time, but recently it stopped charging altogether. This is not my primary laptop but is still used as my travel computer and for some other tasks so I need to save it if possible. After researching, I found that this was a common problem with the 4.5mm plugs and that the jack was the problem. Great since the jack is much less expensive than an new charger cord. Item arrived today and took maybe ten minutes to install, worked perfectly, and now my computer has fully charged. I can't speak to the longevity since it was just installed, but as this is a problem with the OEM dell jack, it it lasts a few years it was well worth the cost.

Breeze to install!
Ordered this because my laptop wouldn’t charge. The problem I had was whenever I inserted my charger. The light on the laptop would indicate charging for a split second and then go out this fixed my problem, high quality replacement part.

Fine part, disposable Dell Laptop.
After upgrading bios, drivers, resetting to bios then factory bios defaults, trying three different Dell 130 watt power supplies, and replacing the battery, I tried replacing the power connector with this. It worked for two weeks and I was happy, but then the same result. I ordered a power connector form Dell and they sent a refurbished part that didn't work, period, so I figure this part is at least as good as what you'll get from Dell at a similar price point, but you'll get the part quicker and it can be returned if it doesn't work. Don't waste your time buying this part from Dell. If this aftermarket part doesn't fix your problem, it's most likely the defective motherboard.Plenty of other people have had this issue. My XPS 9560 simply won't communicate with a stock 130 Watt DC power brick anymore over the center pin of the power connector. Even though your laptop won't run at full blast, you can still get some good out of it if you purchase a USB C charger that puts out at least 90 watts. Unfortunately the XPS 9560 won't pull more than 90 watts via USB C even if you plug in a 130 watt Dell USB C charger and it'll complain about it and run degraded, but it'll charge the battery and work if you don't wind it up. Still useful for browsing the web and such for the cost of a new power brick, but Dell builds disposable high end laptops it seems.

It works
It works just fine. Installing was straight forward. My original plug was ruined by a swollen male connector that caused other connectors to be very loose. Now they fit nice and snug with this replacement

points for fast ship out
because they were all so cheap, (about $8 avg) I ordered at the same time, 4 different ones, to ensure, for sure at least one would be good to go and hopefully I'd have, after installing one, at least one if not 3, spares in the can. This one arrived first, so far, 4 days ahead of the other 3.The other reason for 4 was this power supply-connector & jack combo is clearly overly delicate and problematic. So having spares on hand seemed like a really good idea as I REALLY DO like the PC otherwise. I also have 2 spare power supplies already on hand in the event any future issue turns out to be in the P/S plug. SO FAR I'm able to keep the original parts working by scotch-taping the cord the back of the cover, applying just the right "tension" to the plug & jack. Failure to do this, and the 'charge' indication is usually not present, or if it is, is very likely to disconnect without warning.

Perfect. So much easier than work with Dell
I replaced This myself with no prior experience. Just googled how to do it after Dells help center never placed my order even though I got a confirmation email saying they did. I waited For weeks and they had dropped the ball and wouldn’t do anything to make up for it. Don’t use them. Just order this and do it yourself you will save $100s and time too.
