1958 Christkindlmarkt German Advent Calendar Christmas Countdown New Germany

My Grandparents gave this to me as a child. I am 46 now. I bought one for each of my children. BEAUTIFUL and so precious!

These are lovely and very sturdy Advent calendars; however, they are very large and designed to be placed on a table or shelf. The description mentions 2 side panels. Well, the 2 small panels fold open from the middle of the front and are not really big enough to help the calendar stand sturdily. This calendar is not suitable to hang on the wall.

Amazingly flimsy calendar. Beautiful image, but cheap construction, even for a one-season advent calendar. Not recommended.

I have had an Advent Calendar from Germany since my early childhood. Most of my heritage is German, so that was only normal. This one is exactly as I remember from my childhood - and the intervening years until now. The past few years, I have tried to purchase reproductions from the past and was successful with this one. Now in my "senior years," this calendar is a delight for Advent because it is authentic. If you are looking for a traditional German Advent calendar, I recommend purchasing this one. Charming reproduction of 1958 calendar, with mid-century small town Germany details. Really like it and we love what's behind each window.

This is a poorly made item! Very flimsy & NOT worth the price charged! DON'T waste your money!!!
