How is the table top secured to legs?

Is this table trully red or more of dark coral pink?

Hi. It comes out of the box a nice bright red. I left it outside where it got rained on and sat in the sunshine and it faded to a pink. I have since spray painted it red again and it looks great.

How can I attach the table top to the legs securely?

It would be hard to do, it's just four posts that slot through open holes on the bottom of the tray part. You could maybe find a way to slip a cap in over the hole and attach it with adhesive? It wouldn't be an easy fix and would require some engineering/creativity!
