Quicksilver 8M0054600 6.6 Gallon Portable Fuel Tank

I have two, one on each side plumbed into a fuel filter. Then my main and kicker are fed from the filter. This is a much sturdier tank then the one that came with the boat. Also the tank has .6 gal more capacity and I can get all of it. When the other tank started sucking air it still had half a gallon in it. Helps to have the fuel pickup in a corner of the tank.

Its a good tank.Pros: holds gas, Tells you how much gas is left. Tank feels solid.Cons: plastic tube on the inside of the tank (the one that sucks the gas into the exterior hose) needs to have a hose clamp on it. The plastic tube will eventually fall into the tank if not secured, leaving you stranded in the middle of the lake.

I can't wrap my head around the cost of this gas tank. What makes it so expensive? What does it cost to mold a hunk of plastic? This is highway robbery. If you need it, you gotta pay the piper. This is a big OUCH.

Great tank. If you don't have one already, make sure you buy the complete fuel line assembly to go with this tank... This line must contain a fuel primer bulb.

After 17 years when the tanks were half full the boat would die. Replaced both tanks and now running better than new. Bob zap

Bought this tank which matches the one I have on my Mako Skiff for long runs in the Keys. Perfect fit.
