Introduction to Quantum Mechanics

This is the starting point if you plan on studying QM
There are many introductory texts available on QM. However, most of them begin with an assumption that you have done some basics atleast. Griffiths, the master of a teacher that he is, begins right from the very scratch. He skips the generic introduction of ultraviolet catastrophe etc and starts directly from the heart of QM, the Schroedinger's equation. This approach is the best one in my opinion, for the student first needs to understand why and how these mathematical forms emerge and what is the basis of this mathematics. This book is surely an introduction to QM. However, this book can be used as a first book on QM, for it avoids in depth subject matter, although covering all the important ones. To study an advanced book like that of Liboff's , begin from Griffith. Liboff will give you further insights into QM, skipping the basics and giving out the formulation of QM as postulates.

One of the best book in quantum mechanics written by legendary physics educator and physicist Prof. Griffiths , explaination and the mathematical concept is awesome, e.g the way schrödinger's equation is explained is remarkable....a must buy book on quantum mechanics and for the students who want to understand the weird and mysterious behaviour of particles in quantum realm.

Simplest book for beginners
It starts directly with Schrödinger's equation, without giving the actual idea behind it. But , anyways its a very straightforward book written in a very lucid language.Extremely helpful for beginners in quantum mechanics.

Well First I got confused because this book is not by Pearson but by Cambridge press. Well For everybody's knowledge now Cambridge press is printing the book not Pearson so don't get confuse. The content is same.

Three Stars
Poor paper quality. Otherwise the book is very good.

Good
Griffiths QM is good. Simple. He uses very less Dirac algebra. If u want to study QM in terms of operator algebra, go for Zettley
