FAB Defense Tabor Quick Deployment Bipod, Black

5/5 - It's not a heavy rifle, but I prefer not to lay my arms in the dirt when I can get range time Purchased as an expected gag to just keep from laying the Tavor on its side. FAB Defense has produced a lot of accessories and furniture that I've grown to trust more and more as I've experimented with their product line. Whether for practicality or for just hubris glamour, I have yet to find anything of theirs that can't be trusted to work as designed. Definitely give the podium a consideration if you're feeling the need for either a bipod or just have a range that has chalk like sand that you'd rather avoid. +Arrived earlier than anticipated by like 2 weeks +Sturdy nylon/glass feel to match IWI's material +Non-intrusive when stowed +When deployed, provides plenty of clearance for standard 30rd magazines [GI and PMAG] -a little bulky for under the cutlass grip [very minor gripe]

The bipod fits my Tavor perfectly. It feels like, looks like, functions like, a very well thought out and well manufactured item. I have looked it over carefully and can find nothing wrong with it. I can't imagine having a Tavor and not having one of these. Genius. I have an FDE Tavor and the Tan/FDE bipod doesn't quite match the color of the FDE Tavor. The bipod is very slightly lighter in color. VERY slightly. Almost not noticeable. I would have been stunned if it HAD matched perfectly. I must stress, VERY SLIGHT color difference. I am VERY pleased with it. I ordered from the company in Israel. They say right up front it will take a month or more shipping time. I had no problem with that and I liked buying from Israel. It got here in 2 weeks. :)

Beautifully-made and sturdy-looking bipod. It installs easily and fits like a glove onto the Tavor, as would be expected since the Tavor designer also designed this bipod. Deployment of the legs and restowing them is a snap - literally. Weight is lower than other bipod options. My only question is how well these might stand up to the shooter quickly falling to a prone position and bearing his weight down into these legs. It would take quite a blow to break them, I suspect.

A little bit goofy seeming, but once I actually put it on my Tavor SAR, it works well. And it's pretty inconspicuous when folded. Being at the center of balance/pivot point of the grip actually lets you get on target and pivot quicker, and it's definitely solid enough to take the weight of the Tavor and the prone shooter leaning on it. And it's enough to get the grip and a 30 round AR/M4/STANAG magazine off the ground. And it really does away with the awkwardness of a forward mounted bipod on what is otherwise such a short overall length bullpup rifle. From an American perspective, many of the things FAB Defense makes are a bit... erm... shall I say, "unusual"? And perhaps some of the more exotic items they produce for rifles... maybe they make more sense from the standpoint of an IDF soldier or reservist. But this bipod is definitely one of the things they got right.

Worlds great on the tavor, both for shooting, and so you can keep your Gun standing upright when filling magazine's or messing with the scope and even cleaning, as long as you hold the gun with one hand while using the brush or snake. I only have out 4 instead of 5 stars, is because most soft cases will not be able to close, sure tho the added length once installed. I've never had the bipods come out on their own...... Its a handy addition'vs' adding a bipod to the front of this weapon system.

This is a great design. Super easy to install. The application is awesome. I tend to be a huge fan of integrated designs. This is light, compact, and fits flawlessly. This is definitely a unique bipod and is incorporates well into the Tavor. It is an outside of the box innovation, which is refreshing. It will work with a Surefire 60 Rd AR-15 mag, but not pro-mag 42 round AR mags, and I haven't tried 40 Rd P-Mags.

The Tar Podium is an awesome looking product. It functions well, is easy to use and is made with a sturdy and high quality polimer. However, my package came missing the two front clamps as shown in the product photo. All in all I still love it and it just completes the look of my Tavor and I definitely recommend It to anyone looking for a little more innovation on your rifle.

I tried an Atlas Bipod on my 16" and 18" Tavors as I want the opportunity to shoot the rifles out to 400 yards plus in competition. I found that the Atlas Bipod weighed more and just doesn't balance well on the Tavor rifle. I gave up the idea of using a Bipod (which limited my longer range shots). Then came this new Bipod system introduced at shot show 2016. I thus created a MUST HAVE LIST for every TAVOR owner. These are: a). an IWI rail mount for placement at front of Tavor. b). Vertical Foregrip (helps me to balance the rifle when firing ALOT) c). Fab Defense Tavor Bipod d). Giessele Super Sabra Trigger. These four accessories along with your choice of optic will turn a great rifle into an unbelievable rifle which will enable you to compete in CQB contests out to 600 yards or longer (if you know how to read your hold overs).

I'm impressed with this product. I've had it on for quite a while now and it makes for easy prone shooting. It even works well for children, since the rifle is already heavy with glass!

A must have for your TAR 21! Super easy to install, lightweight and totally transforms the shooting experience. It also allows your rifle to sit on the ground or bench. Highly recommend!
