If these came in bare metal, they would be perfect since the paint makes it harder to fit on. I purchased this to hang a new rear view camera display/mirror. I used a rubber mallet to wedge the bracket into the mount and then got it on the window mount. The fit is tight but it's working great. I think stripping or sanding some of the paint off the bracket would make it easier to assemble. Either way, I'm happy with the device and would recommend this product.

Was quite useful in mounting a self-dimming mirror (also purchased from Amazon, check my reviews) to an existing windshield mount in a German car. There are three adaptors. You probably only need one of them if you're only installing one mirror. The other two you can put in a drawer, forget what they're for, and try to remember that years later when you dig them out (or your heirs dig them out as part of their inheritance..) Works fine. I'm no longer blinded at night in my little 2-seat sports car by the yahoos in huge trucks who have some inferiority complex requiring them to try to light the universe with auxiliary lights in a ginormnous(tm) vehicle that really doesn't belong on public roads. Price certainly reasonable. There is no adhesive involved (Amazon asked), they've held up so far - so they're durable, and there was no fuss installation. I think I covered everything Amazon wanted. Oh - size - they fit, so they were the right size!

I ordered the install adapters, as my 2007 Honda Accord comes with the tension spring mount attached to the windshield. I bought the mounting kit to attach a mirror from another brand. The problem I am having, and my suggestion for future releases, is that the mount is not stable. It is firmly in place, with one screw, I am not worried about it falling, but It would benefit from having two screws, as that single one allows for a left to right pivot point. What happens is that as I adjust the mirror, that bit of wobble settles back, resulting in an over or under correction. It takes a lot of manipulation to get it spot on. The mirror also vibrates a lot. From road conditions to music, there is a near constant vibration in the mirror. Sometimes it's not so bad, other times it's quite ridiculous. I feel a small design modification using two screws would help this, along with the addition of a foam insert that helps hold the mount in to the windshield better, as well as allowing for a tighter fit between the mount and the mirror bracket. I recognize that your product may be a better fit in the bracket, but the inclusion of foam would be helpful. I am currently looking for something to squeeze in there myself as the vibration is not only bothersome, but works the mirror out of place over time

I bought this needing one of the compatible adapters for my Scion FRS (first image). Install is different from OEM. Slide adapter plate up and fasten with Allen screw, rather than 90 degree rotate to lock or remove factory mirror. The issue is quality control, adapter plate does not slide up the entire way, leaving about a quarter inch gap. I’m sure if I used a hammer, I could’ve forced it in. However, I’m not going to take the risk of it breaking in the mirror hitting me in the face one day while I’m driving. Risky and dangerous. These adapters aren’t cheap, so I wish they took the time to make sure that is a perfect fit or design it to have additional pieces to ensure a good fit (e.g., plastic trim to size up, similar to other universal products).

The size of the button on the adapter on which to mount my new mirror is extremely large and my mirror will not slide all the way down so that I can secure it. However, the adapter does fit the original button mounted on the window. Want to return it but have to use it until I receive another adapter I have ordered.

I’m thinking I can make one of these work with my pickup so I can replace my mirror. I do like a clear view not a have gone mirror . These are definitely a great value , the quality of different sizes will help too . I haven’t mounted it yet since we’ve been haven bad rain storms here but can’t wait to try anything once now .

I had to replace my ford transit windshield due to crack. Unable to get adapter to stay on windshield hex attachment. The connection to oem arm only seats 2/3 in so wobbly and bad position to trim hole. I now understand why trim was cut during original install. Need to shave metal for better fit.

Had to file both sides so it could fit.... 2003 Subaru Forester XS SG *Update - One of the clips inside the bracket broke after a couple of months and the mirror became lose.

This adaptor fit perfectly in my truck and allowed me to attach an aftermarket rearview mirror with no problem at all. The fact that it comes with three different adaptors for different styles of mirror for that price is amazing.
