Amazon Basics Weighted Medicine Ball

I got this 8 lb medicine ball for my workouts and it’s been awesome. The weight is just right—not too heavy to slow down reps but enough to challenge me. The surface has a good grip, so it doesn’t slip during exercises.I use it for everything from core work to explosive training, and it holds up well even after dropping it a lot. If you want a reliable medicine ball for general fitness or sports training, this one’s solid.

Went through several orders, trying to find the right one. I got BINGO today.This ball is absolutely perfect.And out of the box, the smell was actually quite faint. Now, three hours later, you can only smell something if you hold it up to your nose.5/5

this is being used for rehabilitation of my 70 yo back.i can't understand the negative reportage about the terrible smell and some kind of greasy covering on the ball. this arrived with a "new car smell" that i personally find appealing; and i saw nothing of an odious covering; the ball arrived in perfect form. it's conceivable that i will also buy - without hesitation - the next higher weight.all-in-all perfect. MEDICINE BALL: the first matter that i address are three persistent complaints: 1) that of a powerful stench that permeates the house and the ball needs to be left outside for a time; 2) that of a greasy, tenacious film on the ball that requires intensive treatment with detergent; and 3) that the ball ruptures. as i wrote in the feedback two months ago with the amazon basics 6 lb. medicine ball, there is no smell on the ball other than a mild rubber 'new car smell' which i find appealing and which quickly dissipates. i know nothing about a greasy feel to the ball - the ball in fact allows for a strong grip. the 'physical trainer' - or so he says - complained that the ball ruptured after bouncing it on the pavement as though it were a basketball. a medicine ball is not a basketball nor is it a slam ball. these reviews are in my opinion fake reviews promulgated by people who want you to spend much more for *their* medicine balls. there are weasels who write these damning or glowing reviews for a fee.i am certainly not a medicine ball power user and these two amazon basics medicine balls (6 lb and 12 lb) are perfect for my use. i have no complaints.

I wish this was a little bit smaller. The 8 lb is too light but a good size. This 12 lb is a good weight but too large for me. I'm sure this works well for someone with larger hands.
