After 8 years it's still working
Great value when i purchased it in 2016. After 8 years it still holds a charge and recharges like it was new.

Stick with Nikon products
Bought third party batteries that failed within 1 year. Original battery still working. Bought this one as a back-up.

Works with no issues
I waited months to receive this battery, but it was worth it since it's a spare.

Always buy an extra battery for your camera body and always buy OEM!
When you buy a camera body (I just purchased a Nikon D5300, my 7th Nikon), it will include a battery, usually a rechargeable one. I recommend immediately buying a replacement battery. Charge both batteries. Keep one in the camera body until it becomes low on power. Then install your other, previously-charged battery and put the drained battery in your charger as soon as practical. This may seem like common sense, but imagine how disappointed you will be if you are shooting photos and your only battery runs down. Even if you happen to be near your charger and a source of electricity, you will have to wait several minutes or many minutes before you can resume shooting. If you are serious about your photography, you do not want to ever be unable to shoot because of something like a dead battery (or a full memory card or, for those of you still addicted to film, no more rolls of film in your bag!). Spend the money for an extra battery immediately after or at the same time as your camera body purchase! Note: Do not buy a generic equivalent battery for your Nikon (or Canon or whatever manufacturer you prefer)! Always spend the extra amount to buy an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) battery. If that generic battery ever leaks or causes damage to your camera body, do not expect Nikon (or any other manufacturer) to fix it under warranty.

Necessary equipment when traveling
It worked as well as if not better than my 6-year-old original. Crucial tool when on vacation when access suitable charging isn't guaranteed.I decided not to risk settling on an unfamiliar substitute so I paid for the Nikon. A bit grudgingly, but you don't get second chances on those important shots.
