Brilliant trickle charger I brought it for my car.
Brilliant trickle charger I brought it for my car. It so easy to use and charges my car battery up great, it even made my stop start work again after one year of it not working. I like the fact it has winter mode on the charger as well. Great price, I wish it came with a case though even a material one. But for the price you can't complain. I brought an extension lead for the battery terminals. As the cables are quite short.

Paid for itself after a couple of uses.
I’d never considered one of these until on a recent visit to the garage my battery flagged up low on charge on a diagnostic test. Arrived next day, very easy to set up and it tells you when it is full and goes into repair mode which is great. I’ll probably keep it in my car now for emergency use. Only downside is the cable provided is only about two meters, so unless your lucky enough to have a plug socket outdoors or in a garage, you will need an extension cable. However this has already paid for itself really rather than replace the battery or have it serviced at the garage.

It works really well for charging my car outside and is versatile.
I wanted a versatile trickle charger to top up my car battery as my car does not get driven regularly and with all the modern day electronics it can quickly self-discharge, plus every so often I wanted to top up my lawnmower battery too. I was originally going to look at getting a solar powered trickle charger and read some very varying reviews and was not prepared to take a risk.I decided to look for something I can plug into the wall inside and then add an extra length of charging cable to so that I could charge the car on the drive whilst the charger itself was in the utility room. By having an interchangeable connector at the end I was able to purchase a 4m extension charging cable and then permanently fix the short O ring cable connectors which came with the charger to my car battery.I use the other crocodile clip charging connector on my lawnmower which I connect to the extension charging lead I purchased.I like the convenience of being able to see the illuminated screen on the charger to identify how charging is going. Because it is an intelligent charger I don't have to worry about it over-charging. Excellent! One of my better purchases... it gets used regularly. One thing I had to do was make a sign for the car's steering wheel to remind me not to drive it when the charging cable is connected, it has saved me driving off with it charging more than once!

Good value
Simple to use, have used it a few times, even in cold weather too top up after a period of not using the vehicle.

Excellent, got me out of a hole ..
Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross (1600cc, petrol turbo, CVT auto) unused for six weeks whilst away. Extremely high temperatures in the UK, car on drive in full sun. On return, 12V stop-start battery flat - remote central locking wouldn't work, had to use key to access vehicle, no lights on dashboard when turning ignition on. I presume the battery was only partially charged beforehand due to numerous short journeys before we left and the bizarre heat wave contributed to it's loss of charge.Ordered this charger straight away with delivery following day, thanks to Amazon. Commenced charging in situ, negative clamp on chassis bolt as instructed, not battery negative terminal. After a brief period, an error message appeared indicating the unit could not identify if it was a 6 or 12V battery, presumably because the battery was so flat? Powered off and on again and unit started charging OK with a stable displayed voltage.I was desperate to use the car so after only ONE hour, with the displayed voltage at 11.4V and all four charge bars still flashing (should turn solid as battery charge accumulates) I decided to try and start the car with the charger still connected in spite of the risk of damaging it. I was most surprised but very pleased that the car started immediately so I quickly powered off/disconnected the charger and eventually went on my way.I have since trickle-charged the battery if I have used the car solely for a lot of short journeys or not used it at all for a couple of weeks and the charger is working OK so no damage. Car battery is in good health according to service even though 4 yrs old but big test will be this coming winter.Update :- Battery turned out to be faulty (wouldn't hold it's charge longer than 24hr so had to replace). Full marks still for the charger, allowed me to start vehicle every time the battery was flat.

Good but can ‘glitch’
4 stars as a few issues.A glitch on first charging. The battery on trickle never got above a certain level. But in fact the charger had a slight glitch.Switch off and on again and was all good at 100% and trickling. The settings aren’t great, can’t really switch between. But only need the one setting on my car.I bought the extension leads separately. So can have the charger in the house and the cables out the letterbox and onto the drive.Have an older car, with start stop engine. But unless I trickle this overnight the start stop rarely works.Haven’t needed a new battery (also able to charge the auxiliary battery in the boot) which controls the stop/start and other functions.
