Light and Works Well
I've had several of these masks. I have an extremely bad mold sensitivity among other unknown airborne particles. I have used this in every conceivable situation. It works in all but the worst like newly cut wet grass. If you have a problem with masks making you re-breathe air and cutting down your O2 or restricting the airflow to make your breathing harder this one is much lighter with little resistance; but it still has a reservoir that causes re-breathing. I hold it tightly to my nose to prevent that if I am forced to use it in wind or wet situations. It will depend on your lung strength. You may have no problem with that at all. Wash it gently and pat it dry with a towel so as not to disturb the weave. It will last many months or years with good gentle care. I always have one in my purse.

Very light - soft - cool - and easy to breathe
My family has used these masks for around 3 years. The lightest and most comfortable masks I've found over decades of dealing with allergies. Can sleep in them and also do yardwork with them. Durable and washable. Have had _very few_ issues with any pollen or other allergen when using them. Those issues that did happen I found were from not having the mask snugly in position when it was windy or I did some other significant motion-oriented activity. No problem ever with indoor use. Not something I use for bike riding as it is too lightweight to hold against the wind or stay firmly in position (but these qualities are what make it so comfortable in general use).

Best, coolest, most breathable for sleeping!
This is the only mask I can wear to sleep due to pollen allergies, since it doesn't feel stuffy or hot from exhaling as with every other mask I've tried. It's definitely not cheaply made like another reviewer said, and it has three layers - a center piece of mesh to hold its shape (away from the nose) and a layer of real silk on either side of that mesh. I did need to make a slight modification by cutting away the outer layer of silk so that it was even more breathable. There was no loss in effectiveness by having just one layer of silk plus the mesh. It's super comfortable and effective! I may buy another as a backup.

Amazing product!
I am very allergic to cats and dust, but was asked by a dear friend to clean her home even though she had a cat. I looked at reviews for this product and decided to buy it. The fabric is soft and breathable. I could talk and maneuver easily with it as the straps that wrap around the ears on each side are thin elastic straps. It is light-weight and very comfortable, while the area around the nose has a stiffer, yet softer moldable piece to cover the shape of nose. The mask fits well with glasses. My allergic reactions were minimal. Needless to say I will be cleaning her house regularly. I would recommend this product to everyone struggling with allergies.

Very comfortable mask
This is a great product. Although much more expensive than a cheap paper mask, it is much more comfortable to wear and it is washable. I wear it every night and has washed it several times, still holding up well.

Not worth it
I've never needed anything more than pills for my allergies before but this years pollen load has sent me poking through the different face masks available. I've combed through several and I finally bought this one. Yes, it is breathable, and while much of this might be due to the silk, I fell a lot of the air I was getting was through gaps at my cheek and nose. I never thought I had a big face before I bought this mask. The chin and nose pieces hugged my face so tight that to have a good seal I couldn't talk or smile or frown or do anything but sit still with a blank expression. The side profile shape of the mask looks completely ridiculous too, like you are wearing a boat's prow on your face or like a sideways duck bill. It's just not flattering. On to less vain complaints, I ended up taking this mask apart to use it as a pattern in designing my own mask, and the material it's made out of is really really thin. I don't mean this in a good way, the cloth or "silk" has huge gaps in it compared to just a plain cotton fabric. It's two pieces of this cheap, gap-filled silk sandwiching a wide honeycomb shaped mesh for stability I guess. I just don't see it holding back any more particulates than tying a bandanna over your face, and to be honest, the bandana would look better. My honest opinion is that this product is only worth buying to help you design your own face mask and sew one up yourself and being charged 20 bucks for it is almost criminal.

A life saver
My ears tend close up when my allergies are activated. I learned from an ENT doctor in Japan that sleeping with a light mask on helps to reopen my ears by keeping warm moisture circulating inside my head. This silk sleep mask is super light weight and really helps keep my ears and hearing going. I used one of these masks during 5 winters before it needed replacing. The mask itself was still in good shape. If I had been someone who sews I could probably have replaced the thin elastic straps. I wash the mask by hand once a week in the morning and it is air dries by bedtime. I have an extra mask that I leave in my suitcase to help with the dryness of many hotel rooms.

Good for allergies when dusting
My wife swears by these to use while dusting. They seem to hold up well - just not if the dog gets ahold of it.
