Comgrow Creality Ender 3 3D Printer Aluminum Prusa i3 DIY with Resume Print 220*220*250mm I ordered this printer for my father who wanted to be able to do some printing at home (I have had several different brands of budget printer Tevo/CTC/DIY etc but never a Creality so this was a bit of a punt, but wanted something simple to use.)Amazon shipped using Hermes, which caused a delay of a few days due to mis-routing, but not Amazons fault - and I suspect a one off, but even if you are prime do not expect their own couriers to deliver this.The printer itself is superb for the price point. Assembly was part done out of the box, so finishing up took us around 2 hours without rushing. Instructions were basic, but with a bit of common sense applied can be interpreted easy enough. Pay particular attention to the holes in the extrusion shown in the diagram for clues as to the alignment of each piece. The instructions omit some basic things like how to adjust the v-slot wheels for smooth operation of the axis but if you have watched any of the assembly videos on YouTube you can figure out how to do this. Same goes for levelling the bed for first print, and loading filament - these instructions are not there and you will need to figure it out for yourself / YouTube it.The tools provided are adequate for assembly and actually pretty good quality (hex ball end Allen keys, sharp scraper not blunt, included pair of side cutters). Wiring was easy, about a dozen pre-labelled connectors (including XT60 connector for power which I was pleased to see.) The power supply terminals are all properly crimped and not just bare threaded into the terminals - so safety has been considered at least a little with this design.I used Cura to set up the first print, creating a custom printer with heat-bed and setting the bed size and then imported a model to test print - I left every setting at default fully expecting the print to fail and to start the long process of calibration. It printed perfectly first time. I was genuinely impressed with the quality of the print and how sturdy the printer was.The printer uses a micro-SD card (included) and there was a free USB micro-SD card reader in the box making life simpler. The only comment here worth noting is that it is easy to post the SD card into the control box through a gap just above the actual slot - so care is needed when inserting the card into the printer.I will be buying a small army of these for mass printing.Good Points:* Simple set up, 2 hours for experienced users, maybe a little longer if its your first printer.* Sturdy design, frame directly bolts together using tapped threads in frame without the use of silly brackets etc.* Good initial print quality out of the box.* Part assembled. Wiring done safely.* Well packaged and protected.* Plenty of spares / tools.* Bowden tube makes the X axis lightweight and works well.Bad Points:* Wires are routed through a cut out in the underside of the aluminium bar, this has sharp edges and I was concerned about wires rubbing against them during movement (I chose to wrap the cables in a cable protector to mitigate this risk where they pass the cut aluminium).* Easy to post the SD card into the machine, which would then require partial disassembly to recover it. Extra caution needed.* Instructions could be a little more elaborate in certain areas. Use community assembly videos on YouTube to get around this.

Well what can I say? This thing is incredible.Setup: I am technically minded. I found the setup to be incredibly fun. The supplied instructions are not good enough to get things right first time. I HIGHLY recommend you load up a youtube build video and go through it step by step on video. It will make such a difference to your build experience. It took me an hour to build,.First print: It is important to level the bed of the printer carefully. You need to see the first layer squashed down onto the plate like smeared toothpaste not beading on the surface like a bead of glue. You can adjust the wheels as the print is going so I recommend doing gentle adjustments as the first lines are printed to try to get an even coverage.I also highly recommend a slower printing speed. Whilst printing, turn the knob left and adjust the FR (flow rate) percentage down. People who are struggling with bed adhesion and other issues are probably printing too fast. I tend to go for 30% for the first layer or two. Up to 50% speed for the next few layers and increasing to 80% or more for the rest of the build.It printed a benchy for me first time. So far, I have had only minor issues with bed adhesion. The heated bed supplied seems to do a good job and I have not yet needed adhesives to help.The rest: This printer is a total steal at under 200. If you take care on build and take the time to fiddle with levelling and speed/quality, you will get professional quality results. I loved it so much that I have just bought another one. MY last few points are:It is not particularly quiet out the box but there are cheap upgrades that can cut down on the noise hugely. Cheap stepper motor dampers really do look effective.I highly recommend the range of 3d printed upgrades for the Ender 3 (thingiverse.com) you use your new printer to actually print these in your first few days and they really improve the user experience. Ones not to miss are:The filament guide, The fan cover, The anti-snag back leg and the LCD cover.There is a strong smell of plastic for the first day. This is not permanent. It only made my house stink for one day.Be aware that this thing will produce lots of fine plastic waste and plastic dust. I would not have this printing in the babies room. Keep away from young children..I have had no problems at all with build quality or part failure. So far, amazing.BUY ONE.

out of the box the printer works great, and aside from bolting on the gantry, and plugging in some wires, is easier to get running than most paper printersit is a perfect printer if you if you want something affordable that will just printthe power loss protection works greatthe filament runout switch works great, but probably should've been on the SE toothe all metal hotend means you can print more exotic plastics (you might need to make a heated enclosure though)the 2 print cooling fans make slopes and overhangs easier to printbuild quality is amazing for the priceit has a direct drive extruder, so you can print flexible filaments, and waste less time retracting filamentthe build surface and heated bed give very good adhesion, I haven't had any warping with PLA except when it was dusty, or when the bed needed to be remappedthe magnetic build plate is very nice to have so you don't have to pry up larger prints with razor blades and scrapersthe printer is nice to look at, which can't exactly be said for the Ender 3 V1 and its exposed power supplythe motors are very quietaside from sticking once during setup causing the printer to give an easily identified error code, the bed mapping probe works wellthe Z offset load cell is very nice to have, but it would be nicer if it was in the print head (if it was than there would be no need for a separate bed mapping probe)unfortunately the cooling fan for the control board stays on constantly, and the fans in general are quite loudignore the following if you don't care about printing parts with abnormally tight tolerances, or you just really hate Creality Printyou'll need Mainsail or Fluidd if you want to fine tune motor rotation distance (motor steps), with stock settings my X axis was about 0.75-0.5mm too large over 150mm, which is fine for most prints, but can make printed gears, bushings, etc bind upCreality Print does have a sloppy way to bypass this, in that you can adjust both the x and y axis thermal contraction offset, but most other slicers don't have this, since this is usually adjusted on the printer itselfCreality print also lacks features like hole size compensation, and more experimental features like scarf jointed seamsklipper printers use a controller similar to a raspberry pi to send instructions to a secondary board, so installing custom control software is a lot more involved than reflashing a marlin printer, *don't try it unless you know what you're doing*, there is documentation for installing Mainsail and Fluidd on the Creality github, but the commands listed didn't work for me, so I had to spend hours looking for a different tutorial, since info on the KE was quite scarce when I got itit would be nice if it came stock with both Mainsail and Fluidd preinstalled, since they don't interfere with anything, and are needed to adjust advanced settings and print wirelessly with other slicersif you're a beginner get this or the SE, they're both greatif you want to fine tune your printer but absolutely don't want to mess around with ssh editors and stuff consider the SE,if you are good at following tutorials and want the extra features, get this

I've only printed a few things so far but it's enough to give some good feedback. At this price point don't expect any frills. That said this bare bones printer performs great. First off from my pictures you'll notice I upgraded the print bed to glass. It's only an extra $12 at the time I purchased. I read some other info online that lead me to believe this would be more likely to be level and perform better. i don't regret it. It works great. My advice would be to take your time assembling this printer. Expect it to take about 4 hours, perhaps more. Make sure everything is tight and aligned properly in terms of the rollers, belts etc. Do not rely on the quick start guide or included instructions. Go out to Youtube and follow the assembly video. Pause it for each step. When you are done stay on Youtube. There is a "Complete beginner's guide" on there from an Australian creator that demonstrates using this exact model. I noticed his menus are a little different due to software changes but his leveling guide and calibration files work great. For being one of the cheapest printers you can get the performance is surprising. I'm very happy with the print quality. I love that I can use tools on Linux or Windows. You don't need to be plugged in as you can simply print from G code on the included micro SD card. The videos online can get you up and running quickly. Every tool needed to build and run the printer are in the box. Nice touch. There is a small amount of PLA material but you will want to order more right away. The included spool is small and really only enough for a couple test prints. If you are a beginner why spend more? This is the perfect first printer.Update: I thought I would add to my review now that I have had some time working with this printer. I've made a lot of improvements to the device I first received. The nice thing is most of the improvements are cheap or you can print them. First thing to note: I was having a lot of problems with printing anything large that took a bit of time. After a lot of digging I found the hotend shipped with the printer was (in my opinion) put together wrong. They either built it cold or inserted the nozzle before the heat break. Either way there was a gap that could not be fixed in the hotend. I bought a Creality spider hotend which is all metal. Way better and it works great. Add to that a BL Touch sensor for autoleveling the bed. Best addition ever. You still need to start with a level bed but it fixes all the little problems with uneven bed surfaces and stopped my extruder problems. While on the extruder. Calibrate your machine! Take the time to measure the output from your extruder. They use a generic setting from the factory. You NEED to set up this machine. Calibrate the extruder, the retraction distance, the nozzle temp for the filiment etc. Pay attention to the details and you will get great results. Really happy with this printer. It takes work but it's a fun project that leads to other projects, and for a beginner it's hard to beat. Some say you should buy higher end and avoid all the minor issues. I disagree. I think this has been a learning experience that prompted me to understand the machine. I think that basic knowledge of the process is important. Your mileage may vary.

Muy buen producto, recomendable para los que quieran empezar en el mundo de la impresión 3D, puede imprimir desde PLA, ABS, PETG e incluso TPU, solo es cuestión de agarrarle la maña, no gasta tanta energía, dependiendo del contrato de luz que se tenga tendrá que tener paciencia, pero en fin, buen producto
