Great adapter, gets the job done
Works great, fits in my homelab PC. Small caveat though, they will not provide screws for mounting the SSD into the adapter (I had to use my own screws that previously mounted the heat shield onto my SSD). The ones they provide are purely for mounting the adapter.

Very nice
I needed to replace some old 250GB drives in my NAS with Samsung SSDs. These mated perfectly with the backplanes in my Lian-Li PC-Q26.

Just what I needed for my SSDs to fit in my RAID Enclosure
This is just what I was looking for, and it wasn't that expensive. I had bought a MediaSonic ProBox 4 Drive Bay hot-swap enclosure for my server computer to contain my RAID for the cloud network. Unfortunately, it is built to only hold 3.5" disks, and I needed to add 2.5" SSDs to the array for caching. So I got to searching for something that would convert the 2.5" disks to fit a 3.5" bay, and stumbled across this. I seen a few others, but they either bulkier, more expensive, or didn't provide info on whether they were SATA II or SATA III. I bought this one, and it fit the bill perfectly. It is a simple piece of hardware, but it is effective. The SSDs just screw into the caddy, and then will slide into the cage just as if they were a 3.5" disk. This caddy moves the SATA connection over a bit so that it is in the same position as the bigger disks. I tested it out in my main system and in my enclosure, and both times, the system seen it as a SATA III 6Gb/s drive, and the read and write speeds reflected this in Crystal DiskMark. It is pretty light weight, but since it is for the most part going to be in a static position, and only moved when the drive fails, it doesn't need to be made out of Adamantium. As long as the SATA chip does not fail, this will be $10 well spent.

A Very Economical Solution That Works
I bought this caddy in order to install a SSD in my Asus Vivo VM42 mini PC. This is the perfect solution because it has the same form factor as the standard 3.5" HDD that originally comes in the PC and allows the new SSD drive to simply plug in to the chassis via the caddy connector. Mounting hardware is provided with the caddy and its outer frame accepts the same coarse thread screws that standard HDDs use while the inner frame uses M3 fine thread screws for the SSD. This is a plus in my application because I reused the coarse threaded screw-on mounting grommets that were on the OEM drive. Then, I installed the caddy (with the SSD mounted) in the same fashion as the original drive for a perfect and secure fit. The only reason that I give it four stars instead of five is because compared to a brand name caddy, this one is a little on the cheap as far as construction and finish are concerned. However, I had originally bought a Rosewill caddy for this project and it doesn't accept the coarse-threaded screws on the outer frame. Instead it takes M3 fine thread screws. In other applications that may be fine, but for me I really needed the coarse threaded holes instead. It was made better though. Oh well, as I said, it worked great and I'm very happy with this find.

Works with Lenovo Thinkstation P920
This worked perfectly in the Lenovo Thinkstation P920. I was able to add extra 2.5" SATA SSDs to the workstation, just make sure to turn it upside down. Even the Lenovo branded caddy didn't work. The Lenovo caddys seem are misaligned to where to SATA connector lines up with the motherboard. So, I sent them back to Lenovo and ordered these along with the FENLINK 2.5in to 3.5in Internal SSD Hard Drive SATA Drive (hey I was at my wits ends here) and to my suprise the both worked. My workstation has been chugging along for awhile now and I have no issues with these caddys. Great product and will definitely purchase again when I'm able to obtain another workstation.

Mounts 2.5" drive in 3.5" caddie for my Supermicro. Works and Easy Install.
Mounts 2.5" drive in 3.5" caddie for my Supermicro. Works and Easy Install. I bought more than I need now for future use and am glad I did because they can be reused and may be hard to find in the future. The circuit board centers the 2.5" drive in the bay and it connects to the back-plane of the server as if it is a 3.5" drive. It allows for excellent cooling. This is just an adapter that allows a 2.5" drive to be used in a 3.5" caddie using only a printed circuit board with no electronic parts that can burn out. Comes with 8 screws. 4 for mounting the 2.5" drive (these work good) and 4 for attaching the adapter to the caddie. The screws supplied for attaching the adapter to the caddie cannot be used in Supermicro caddies, you need to use the same flat head screws used to attach 3.5" drives. Screws supplied for mounting the adapter to caddie are not for counter-sunk holes and will not work in Supermicro 3.5" caddies to attach a drive. This product is much better than other brand I have used which hangs the 2.5" drive in the caddie so it connects directly to back-plane of server. It was hard to install and did not inspire confidence in the connections to the back-plane.
