Small Sill Track Cover - 96 in long

When we bought the house the sliding door was hard to open and shut. We discovered it had been bent and squashed by previous owner. We have struggled for years using the door. Had to use both hands and body to move it. We tried various lubricants and they would make it better for a couple of weeks and back to struggle. I saw this cover and it was inexpensive and worth a try. It fits over the old track snugly and the door opens with 2 fingers now.

They were easy to install on both my sliding glass doors and are still doing great . I guess I can't complain saved me money Travck was a little dirty i was replacing deck boards

I ordered 8 ft. Fit my old track perfect end to end.. To prep I used pliers and a file and hammer to straighten bent track. Removed Door Filed off some of the old bent track as best I could. Tapped on the new track with rubber mallet no glue needed. . Reinstalled door. Now glides back and forth like new.

The product itself is everything it said it was and seems to work extremely well however not your typical Amazon delivery because the package was an 8 foot long tube and it was bent right in the middle at a 45° angle which bent the track. I was still able to use it though by tapping it slowly in place with a rubber mallet

Wish it worked, but I cut it to size and tried to put it on the old rail and it wouldn't seat. I was able to get one end over the old rail, but when I'd go to hammer it down over the rest of the length, it'd just roll off. Very very frustrating and in the end, it just didn't work and was a waste of money for me. Maybe it's too small but my rail seems to be 1/4" and that's what I ordered. So disappointed because it seemed this could be the solution to the door that I've been struggling with.

So this product works well, but getting it was an issue. the post office lost it and the company had to resend it. Then when we got it, there was a kink and a small bended section due to the post office not being careful.I thought it might not work. So we just slowly put it over the original track while using the mallet carefully to hit it. So no glue or adhesive needed. Just put it over the original track and it worked. The door slides well again!

Installed quickly and the door slides very easily on the new track. The track covered the flat spots where the door was sitting. I put some adhesive caulk on the track to help fill the flat spots on the old track, this may not be needed but it seemed to work well. If you have the tools order the long one and cut it down to save money.

Package arrived in my town damaged (Bent) and of little use. Upon further review, the un damaged section remaining was long enough to use sucessfully for the repair.The door rollers are in good shape and the install was easy. We now have a sliding glass door that opens like new. No more bumping over rough spots in the rail.
