Well made for average to large people. Petite frames could be a problem.
This is extremely well made. It is almost impossible to alter, so if you are not at least average size 5' 4 inches or over, it probably will not fit properly especially if you have a small frame around the chest. I am 35" under my armpits. It does not fit. I ordered the small and the basket for the arm is perfect but the straps are one size fits all. The only thing that is sized is the basket from elbow to wrist. So I received a nice brace, but I could not adjust is short enough or small enough around to fit my body. The adjustable portions of the straps are sewn to the thick pads on the shouler and back straps so that the adjustments only go so far. I did pull them farther but that makes the fitting very bulky. I also adjusted it as short as possible and even pulled the Velcro over the snap mechanism. It is not intended to cover the only snap that is needed to get this on you, but I did that after buckling myself in so that I could actually rest my arm in the basket. Otherwise, my arm did not rest in the basket and my shoulder was strained because it had no support. I had tried to contact the seller and manufacturer before purchasing and did not get any help. However, I felt that I might be able to remake it for future use. It is so well constructed that I do not want to destroy it trying to cut it down. However, I think I can possibly put a pad of some sort in the basket to raise the bottom. I need another surgery and this does help when going out as I have a bad neck and it did keep the weight off my neck. After I purchased it the seller emailed me asking about my thoughts. I told them that it is sturdy and a good product, but does not fit a small person in frame and stature and that I had tried to ask that prior to purchase. They were sorry about the lack of communication. All in all I believe the seller to be reputable, the product to be very sturdy. It is pricey, but I would definitely think it would help for those who need to work all day after surgery and cannot take months off. Of course, if you are a bigger person, I think this would be fabulous. It may be hot and it still may be a little bulky because the large rings might annoy the back. I am not sure about that. The price is high, but I think it was the best brace that I bought, though I used it only a little. I need surgery on my other shoulder so I will work on making it fit once I am feeling well enough from my first surgery. My spouse also has shoulder issues and this is something that will last through many surgeries and could be used by other members of the family.

Very comfortable and effective at immobilizing your arm.
This is a very effective and comfortable sling. It is much better than the one provided by the doctors office.

Needs a better design
I hate this brace. There are hard spots where the velcro is stitched. Also, the pillow has square corners. When wearing something 24/7, any small irritant become magnified.

Great improvement on the Slingshot 2
The Slingshot 3 provided an extra strap which helped to anchor the actual shoulder strap pulling it away from my face. The hospital issued the SS2 & within a few days I had abrasions on my neck & face because the shoulder strap would rise when I was seated and asleep. Hence, my research & purchase of the SS3.
