Just a collection of others
What I had wanted was more of her personal narrative her story about Washington as she saw it. Instead a collection of what others saw which is valid but it's not the personality of mrs. Graham.

Great book and stories about Washington
Great book and stories about Washington, DC. Katharine Graham was a great lady and was the toast of Washington. A very wonderful read and you can see how politics were back in the day!

The life of a remarkable woman accurately recorded
I knew the book when it was first published in 1997. I replaced the book with this edition to remind me of the Graham's decision to publish the "Pentagon Papers" saga. I was able to be aware of the background to the film "The Post". The writing of Graham is true to the actual events. Graham was a remarkable woman faced with enormous challenges to The Washington Post. The book reveals her inner strength, her political wisdom, and the importance of a circle of true friends. She repeated her actions when faced with publishing the story of the Watergate scandal, recorded in the book "All the President's Men" by Woodward and Bernstein.
