I received two sets of these string lights and was initially impressed by the sturdy build quality of he cords. I was eager to see what the bulbs looked like so I picked one at random from the 30 I received and found that the inner stem was broken along with the filaments. A little bummed out by this discovery I decided to carry on with installing one of the sets on our back patio cover. Upon plugging it in my disappointment quickly disappeared and I was quite pleased with how well these bulbs filled the patio with such an inviting glow.I noticed one bulb was quite weak and within a couple minutes it went out altogether. After a quick message to Brightech's customer support I quickly received a reply stating they would send out two replacements and to expect them in about 1-2 weeks. Much to my surprise, I received two perfect bulbs just 2 days later!After installing the second set I can honestly say that they were worth every penny, especially when factoring the excellent/prompt customer service I received.TL;DR: Great build quality/appearance + Excellent customer service = Highly recommended!

I wrote this review for the replacement bulbs instead of the strands :D These are perfect. Very well built, cords are very thick, strong, yet still very flexible. The small eyes above each fixture make mounting the lights very easy. Ordered three strands, only one bulb didn't work, very well packed. Got a few extra bulbs just in case. The thick cords also mean the light fixtures don't move in the wind as much as I feared so less chance of broken bulbs in a storm. The filaments are beautiful. I got dimmers to be able to reduce the brightness so the filaments are always visible but didn't need them, filaments stand out at full brightness. The light is warm, bright enough to read under if needed but not too bright, perfect mood lighting. Mounted these on my pergola, perfect for parties!

The bulbs and cabling seem to be of a good quality but I was not able to test it out as the voltage was not compatible outside of the U.S without a step-down transformer(at a cost of more than the product itself). The warranties from the manufacturer are also not valid. To send the product back would cost me twice the price of the product itself so I'm pretty much stuck with a product I can do nothing with. It would be helpful if the manufacturer was clear about the limitations should you wish to use the product outside of the U.S as it does ship internationally.--- update --- I've since managed to get a step down converter and power the lights up.. and they look great! Better than I imagined :-)

You have likely seen these type of lights in outdoor setting restaurants, etc. If they have gone to the trouble of purchasing quality lights, these are what they have purchased. The construction is heavy duty, allowing them to be strung from a variety of hooks, cables, etc. The loops above every socket make the mounting of these lights even more flexible. The sockets are very weatherproof, relying on the seal between the bulb and the rubber collar to keep water out- very effective. The light itself is very warm (color-wise), and it creates an almost surreal atmosphere that is very conducive to parties, etc. Our first 2 sets were destroyed by our (100 year old) tree falling across our deck, and as soon as the insurance company reimbursed them, we purchased 2 new sets. Repurchase of an item is, to me, the ultimate test of whether it is a good product. Very nice.

After my Deck overhang was built this past summer we decided to add some ambience in lighting. I went on Amazon and did my research, my choices and reading reviews. I purchased the Brightech Ambience Pro-Vintage Edition. The lights comes neatly packaged, with a separate box containing the bulbs. Each bulb is in its own box surrounded By bubble wrap. The bulbs are Beautiful looking and in daylight they look great. The vintage filaments glow in orange.As night came I turned them on again. These at 40Watts apiece are bright, and the filaments are kinda lost in that brightness.The ad for this product says they are Dimmable, but the dimmer isn't included.I went online and to my surprise, at 600 watts total, 40× 15 bulbs, there is No dimmer that plugs inline to this string that can safely handle that total wattage. You'd have to go to an electrician to get a box wired to do that. I did call LUTRON, and spoke to their tech support. They only offer a plug in dimmer that can only handle 300 watts. Disappointed, I'm returning my lights to Amazon for the LED version instead. I do love these lights. They are Heavy Duty and well made!!Because I was under the impression that I could buy an Inline Dimmer and Now find out I can't, I'm giving my review only 4 stars. I'll review my LED lights when they come.Bottom Line... read the description very carefully before you buy.

I have these installed in my patio. These lights have been outdoors for 4 months and thus far no issues. Three of my lightbulbs arrived broken but I contacted the seller and was given replacements. I hope these lights lasts forever. My only concern is where will I purchase these light bulbs if any of them break? I bought three sets of lights. Each set should come with at least 5 replacement bulbs and instructions on where to purchase replacements.Update. Roughly 1.5 yrs later these lights have been outside exposed to the elements and still look amazing. Very sturdy. However some bulbs naturally need to be exchanged. Recommend these to come with at least 3 replacement bulbs. 3 of my bulbs are in need of replacement.

This is a solid product! I bought them in 2016. Great company as well. They replaced a strand when they failed in some weather. Couldn’t be happier!
