Sunjoy Grill Gazebo 5 ft. x 8 ft. Brown Steel Frame Double Tiered Hardtop Gazebo with Ceiling Hook and Shelves

This covers my Pit-boss grill. I’m not a big reviewer, but I give credit where credit is due. Every detail concerning this product has been well thought through. The design is robust, requires no nuts, has nice features and is easy to assemble. The manual is well done the assembly steps require no words. One ratchet wrench is all that is required. I used Loctite 248 blue on the bolt threads. It provides plenty of head room(I’m 6’4”), nice attention to sharp edge dressings and the finish is well done. The main support walls and shelves have a tasteful faux wood pattern. Everything comes marked including the fasteners and the crate and packaging is heavy duty. The only complaint is the Shipper VECO, my unit sat in Orlando for weeks.Assembly Complete follow up:Everything went together nicely. The extra fasteners is nice. There’s a few parts orientation details to watch out for (F1,F3 flange up and how the 4X P parts nest into the roof plates). Other than that, I’m pleased.It does have a side to side stiffness flaw. I’m going to add criss-cross cables and turnbuckles from the back upper corners to fix this. In the front the cables will attach straight down. Much better tie down arrangement.

Fairly easy to assemble, all pieces were included and fitted well. So far it withstanded well the various summer storms. The look of wood on the metal is nice. We had it for about 3 months, time will tell about durability.

THE 195LB PACKAGE ARRIVED. I SOON DISCOVERED ALL THE BOLTS WERE MISSING. MY OPTIONS WERE ACCEPT THE LOSS, BUY ABOUT 200$ WORTH OF METRICK BOLTS ON LINE (NOTHING LOCAL). OR REPACKAGE AND RETURN THE 195LB SHIPMENT. (IN THE MIDDLE OF A TROPICAL RAIN STORM.

It took 3 weeks for Amazon to deliver it. The delivery drivers were polite and helpful. There are no written instructions and the numbers are hard to find, it would be better if they put them on the plastic. Since it is only 3 sided it gets twisted and difficult to attach some of the roof supports. The instructions have you put the vent roof on first but it would be easier to put the main roof on then the vent roof because you have to stick your hand under a support to tighten the screw for the main roof as the vent roof is in the way. They have you put the shelves on almost last but as I said before the legs bow out so if the shelves are on it gives it more rigidness. One thing I do like is they give you extra hardware incase you drop and lose one. It's fairly easy to put to together, I managed to do it my self but two people is better. Paint on the roof doesn't look solid, got a hammered look. It is a nice size bar b que gazebo. I have room for a medium size grill and a small smoker under it. I have been looking for one for years that was solid top and reasonable priced and Amazon finally put it on sale for a reasonable price. The legs are wide enough that I feel it is sturdy, the roof supports are also of a good size. I grill all year long and in all weather so a good quality long lasting gazebo was important. Expect to take 8 hours to assemble, not allot of parts but it takes awhile nonetheless. I found a nut driver sped the process up, the screws have a hex head, it comes with two wrenches. 🔧 You will need a tall ladder to assemble the roof, about 12 foot. If you have a large gap assembling the roof trusses your legs are our of square, move the legs in or out until the gap closes, this is why I think it would be better to put the side panels or shelves on first, because it would square up the legs.

I ordered the gazebo for the 4th of July to have my grill underneath. It showed up in three separate boxes that were rather beat up, but the content otherwise intact. The issue was that the hardware package (nuts/bolts which hold it all together were missing) so I went to email Amazon, but they direct you to the company itself. Soooo I email them as their call service is apparently so backed up that you arent allowed to stay on hold and it kicks you off with a message to email them.I email them... takes 4 days for a response for them to ask for info which was in my original email. I get the response a couple days later to say I will receive the missing hardware in two to three weeks. Which is waaaaaay past the 4th of July. This is a joke as I needed it all for the 4th. I end up buying it locally and it costs nearly $100 for just nuts and bolts. I am gonna eat the cost and I will just avoid Sunjoy moving forward. Doesnt come with concrete anchors or mounting screws despite being listed as permanent, so have to buy them separate as well. In hindsight, id 200% have gone with about any other gazebo.The positive is that once I had it assembled, it seems solid enough to last. Time will tell, but just be ready for tall that potential trouble.
