Detailed Sector 9 lookout review
The media could not be loaded. Received this board yesterday and was finally able to take it out for a spin. Here are a few things I've noticed just from having it the short amount of time and a list on technical things that you may be interested in.How it arrived:1) It arrived in a fairly compact package, a box that was just big enough to hold the board itself. It was not damaged in any way.2) It arrived within two days of ordering it, although I've got amazon prime so it may be a different time span for you3) My board came with the correct graphic as pictured above although it came with lime green wheels rather than the aqua, so if this is a big deal for you, you may want to order it from a site where you can customize the pre-built board a bit, or just by the deck alone and your own parts separately. How it feels:1) The board straight out of the box has the trucks tightened a good amount, especially if you are a beginner, but you may want to loosen them just a little for easier carving. The quality of the trucks themselves are great.2)This board has GREAT flex. I previously ordered the Quest Super cruiser and had a hard time getting a feel of it, especially someone of my size. I am a 21 y/o female weighing roughly 120 pounds and the board still flexes very nicely giving you a comfortable ride for longer stretches of cruising. So if you're a lighter rider like myself this definitely may suit you.3) The turn radius is a bit wide for making a complete 180 turn somewhere, but for smaller quick turns, for instance dodging in between people on campus it works very well.4) The wheels themselves are sector 9 nine balls has described, they roll over most cracks and smaller rocks but are definitely not for incredibly rough terrain or road. If you need wheels to go over poor roads etc, look into purchasing sharkwheels at some point, they will fit on this board fine.5) The board straight from the box may need a bit more kicking than some prefer as the bearings it comes with are decent, but not the best. Upgrading to bones reds will make all the difference here. I will be sticking with the stock bearings for a bit.6) The board is a decent weight for carrying around for short periods of time, say if you've got to just carry it into class etc. But if you're going to need to carry it a lot more than that it may be a little heavy. It's around 7 pounds.Overall:1) This board has plenty of space to move around and get comfortable, and the drop through design makes the rider lower to the ground which will help with stability and helping beginners feel a little safer when cruising.2) This is a great board for a little of everything if you're just coming into the scene. Cruising, carving, freestyle, etc. It's great for cross stepping and the like. It doesn't have kicks on either the nose or tail so some flatland tricks may take a bit of getting used to without that advantage.3)The aesthetic of this board is absolutely gorgeous. The graphic on the bottom is amazing and the clear grip tape allows you to see the bamboo construction.

Great value
I have had this board for almost a month now, and overall it's pretty good. The trucks were somewhat loose when I first got them, but that could be simply fixed by tightening them. Also they do specify that the wheels might be a different color than the one pictured, so what I got were green wheels instead of blue. Colors don't really affect the comfort of the ride though, and overall this board rides like a dream. The big wheels pick up speed fast, roll on forever, and go over bumps in the road smoothly. I also haven't shot out of my board yet due to the wheels suddenly stopping because of a twig or pebble. Since it's a drop-through, the deck is closer to the ground than a pintail's so keeping your balance on this is a little easier. It also only takes a couple of pushes to get to a decent distance and it turns well, so it's great for cruising, however, this board is a little heavy... Another thing that I've noticed is that the grip tape disintegrates a little faster than I'm used to. However, I am still pretty pleased about this board's quality. The deck is well-made, plus it has good parts that don't immediately need upgrading. It's well worth the money, and I definitely recommend it to other people

More for intermediate or advanced skater.
The grip on the top is super rough (like course sandpaper) which is great but has difficulty staying stuck to the board. Very fast for a beginner board. Very cool design. Well known and reliable board.

Seriously great design!
Seriously great design!! My husband and I were in Florida at a surf/board shop chatting with a guy about the Best longboard at a great price and he recommended the sector 9 for many reasons... Well we were on vacation and should have bought it for our daughter that very day instead of telling ourselves we'd go back for it... Thankfully Amazon had us covered!! Or daughter is in love and the ride in this is so easy and smooth (believe me I had to try it too just to see what the fuss was about). What a great product and a very very fair price!!

EXCELLENT BOARD
Where do I begin this board this board after purchasing a terrible stock maple longboard I will not name name's I found this bamboo gem now I did not ride it with the stock bearings or wheels I've heard they ride good though but as soon as I got it I put on Bones swiss ceramics and Orangatang Kegel 80mm wheels and I was floating down the street the deck itself is a decent light weight the trucks turn nice and smooth I'd recommend this board to anyone searching for a cheap quality longboard.

Best Carver / Commuter I've Ridden
Absolutely beautiful board. I've never had a board ride so smooth and so comfortable. This board is an amazing step up from a generic pintail. The wheels are a little too grippy for power sliding but they're not quite broken in either. The board is perfect for commuting and carving and can be used for some downhill as well.

Disappointed
Received the board and it is nothing like the picture for the one ordered. The board looks like a used board. The box had some damage as well. Have requested a replacement and hope we receive the correct one this time.

Beautiful board.
Just received it so I'm reviewing the aesthetics of the board and she's a beauty. Riding back and forth on the hardwood floor and it feels very smooth and we'll made. Will update review when it stops raining and able to take her for a decent ride but it's a real looker though. I don't think I need to make any adjustments. I spun the wheels and it's spinning real good. Update soon.
