55 Gram Stiff Flex
At 48 I thought that it was time to move to a lighter Regular Flex. After fighting 2 way misses and entirely too much spin, I ran across this shaft at 55G Stiff and no more 2 way misses, lower launch and less spin. Stiff enough not to spray, but light enough not to give up any club head speed.

I ordered the 45 gram regular flex. No complaints. Ball flies high and far. I can’t see any reason to spend more on a shaft.Just for fun I left it uncut to make a 48” driver. I fully expected to have a few laughs and then cut it down to 46” this evening. Imagine my shock when the second swing I hit a 270 yard bomb down the fairway. I’m sure some guys do that regularly but not me. My average carry is about 220 yds and then some roll. This was 270 yds and it nearly plugged. I’m leaving it as is for now.I put the shaft on a Wilson Triton head and used some little shaft adapter I also bought on Amazon. With sanding the tip for epoxy and adding a grip, the whole project took about 10 mins. Anyone can do this.
