The indicator and stand are very cheap and not accurate at all. I would suggest buying higher quality pieces.

Degree wheel is small, 10". Much easier to do with a bigger wheel. The dial indicator holder stripped out so easily just on light tightening, the entire kit seems to be so fragile. With the configuration having the bars and magnet, you will no doubt have a hard time getting a good angle on the tappet. Do yourself a favor and get the fowler run out tool and an 18" wheel with the proper piston stop tool. This is a nicely packaged sub-par kit.
