Maesri Red Thai Curry Paste, 4 Oz

The real deal, intensely flavored, spicy, and as with most prepared curry pastes, pretty salty. But in coconut milk it certainly is a fast and easy way to make a quite good Thai curry, especially if you goose it with some fish sauce, lime, and cilantro. It's also a bargain compared to those little jars you see.

You can make a very fast meal as you don't need any other spices nor onions nor salt. Simply take half the can of this paste and saute it on medium-low in a bit of oil. Then add whatever protein you'd like and veggies and saute for a bit. Add a can of coconut milk and simmer on low until the protein is cooked. Taste the curry and if it needs more spice, just add a tiny bit more paste, stir and cook for a bit. If its too hot, add some sugar or maple syrup to melow it out. You can also add more coconut milk. Super easy one pot meals can be made with this paste!

Adds a good flavor base for many dishes calling for a spicy, umami, complicated sauce. I used it make spicy peanut noodles. Didn’t need much so saved the rest for several more uses.

I use it in almost everything. Eggs, hamburgers, casseroles, etc. Love this size ( 4 oz.) Get all 3 colors: red, green and yellow.

We love this brand but the supermarkets in our area are frequently out of it for long periods. I was delighted to find it here on Amazon, same price as at the grocery and with my prime membership, no postage! I stocked up and when my stash gets low, I'll order it again.

Authentic red curry

This was a main ingredient for a satay sauce recipe I found and it is delicious! It is spicy so it was too hot for my little ones but my husband loved it and it is a great economic buy.

Thai red curry paste always has that something about it that makes it a hit or miss amongst many people. But if you're the kind that prefers the red curry over green or panang, then you can't go wrong with this one.
