I am glad to have this in my collection but the orange anodized finish is not as good as I thought it would be. Tarnished I would say from age or manufacturing defect.

I was putting a fire kit organizer together and I thought this item would be a great addition. You can't go wrong with anything EXOTAC. It really is an essential piece of gear, even if it is a little expensive. All in all no fire kit or survival bag is complete without one these match safes.

For the price it should include at least a handful of matches.

I honestly have no idea what that means. lolBut I have complete confidence that whatever I put in this thing will stay that dry. Exotac is the Cadillac of outdoor gear. Top quality. This guy is large enough to hold those huge storm proof matches. Or a bunch of regular sized kitchen matches plus tinder material. Cash, medicine, important papers, anything that you need to feel 100% confident will stay dry. This thing is like a tiny waterproof vault. High quality Viton “O” rings are the best. Guaranteed to keep water out. You know your striking pad isn’t gonna be a useless mess when you really need it.Made of very high quality 6061 aircraft grade aluminum. I was a machinist in the aerospace industry for almost 35 years and this item is as well made as any aircraft part. I’m even thrilled with the gunmetal color. Oh-it even floats! I've owned these before, very nice quality and design with only one complaintit uses 1/2 quick thread to open,.... it really needs 2 turns because in a pack, or pocket caneasily turn open.Update; so I found a simple solution to the "to easy to open" replace the oring (-021) with a metric oring 2mmx24mm size with a dab of silicone grease....works perfect!!! now i'm happy

This is a well built product, also well thought out with you getting extra striker and gasket the only problem is it didn't come with any matches like it shows in the picture. If it stated that matches not included it would have been a big help so I could have ordered the matches with it.

Esta funda puede guardar varias cerillas para iniciar fuego, pueden ser cerillas normales o las resistentes al viento o al agua. Cuenta con dos lugares para raspar la cerillas, la que uso más es la que viene en la parte de abajo de la cápsula. Puede sujetarse a un llavero o llevarse en el bolsillo, esta funda es resistente al agua y es versátil ya que puedes usar diferentes tipos de cerillas. As shown. The outside bottom striker pad came off but it's of no consequence as their is one inside. Great to clip onto your bag or leave in the glovebox.

Producto de calidad se nota de uso rudo lo tengo en mi mochila y aunque tengo varios encendedores es siempre una necesidad tener cerillos a la mano sobre todo en las salidas, excelente producto

El material se ve bien, resistente y sella bien al meterlo al agua, mi calificación es porque creo la relación con el precio no es la adecuada.
